MicroRNA‐375‐3p Targets Fatty Acid Synthase and Relish to Regulate Energy Allocation During Pupal Metamorphosis and Starvation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
During pupal metamorphosis and starvation, elevated 20‐hydroxyecdysone (20E) and suppressed insulin trigger Forkhead box O (FOXO) nuclear translocation, enhancing miR‐375‐3p expression. This downregulates fatty acid synthase (FASN) and Relish, promoting lipid breakdown for energy while prioritizing antioxidant responses over immune functions to support

In Situ Measurement of Oxygen Vacancy Dynamics and Surface Exchange Reactions in Oxide Electrode under Solid Electrochemical Cell Operating Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This study establishes an in situ electrochemical framework using dense bulk electrodes to identify defect chemistry and surface kinetics. While oxygen vacancy concentration is derived via bias modulation, surface exchange coefficients are quantified at open circuit voltage conditions to isolate kinetics.

Effect of Budesonide Nasal Irrigation in Patients With Chronic Rhinosinusitis With Nasal Polyps Without Prior Sinus Surgery: A Randomized, Double‐Blind, Placebo‐Controlled Study

open access: yesInternational Forum of Allergy &Rhinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The indication for nasal irrigation with corticosteroids after sinus surgery in patients with Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps (CRSwNP) is well established, as surgery facilitates distribution throughout the sinonasal cavity.

Cytoplasmic Travels of the Ecdysteroid Receptor in Target Cells: Pathways for both Genomic and Non-Genomic Actions

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology, 2012
Signal transduction of the insect steroid hormones, ecdysteroids, is mediated by the ecdysteroid receptor, EcR. In various cells of the insect Rhodnius prolixus, EcR is present in both the nucleus and the cytoplasm, where it undergoes daily cycling in ...

Identifying early signs of Treatment Resistance in First Episode Psychosis to revise and aid further treatment

open access: yesEuropean Psychiatry, 2023
Introduction Approximately 1/3 of patients with first episode psychosis (FEP) will not benefit from antipsychotic medications and are considered treatment resistant (TR). TR is currently defined as sustained lack of remission with functional loss in the

Rationale of New Grading System: Central Compartment Atopic Disease

open access: yesInternational Forum of Allergy &Rhinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Central compartment atopic disease (CCAD) has recently been recognized as a distinct phenotype within the spectrum of type 2–dominant chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS). Although international guidelines highlight polypoid changes in the central nasal cavity, standardized diagnostic and classification criteria are still lacking.
