Filters for diagnostic of Doppler reflectometry on the L-2M stellarator for operation under conditions of high ECR heating power [PDF]

open access: diamondEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
The study of the properties of edge plasma, in partic-ular, the plasma rotation speed, in toroidal traps is associated with the search for ways to increase the efficiency and reliability of the thermonuclear reactor.

Selective ECR heating of trapped/passing electrons in the W7-X stellarator [PDF]

open access: bronzeAIP Conference Proceedings, 2014
Using specific features of the magnetic equilibrium in the W7-X stellarator, ECRH scenarios with X2 and X3 modes are discussed. The aim is to explore the possibility of selective heating of the different classes of electrons, passing and trapped, by different RF beams with different frequencies, which can be launched from ports located in different ...

Auxiliary ECR heating system for the gas dynamic trap [PDF]

open access: bronzePhysics of Plasmas, 2012
Physics aspects of a new system for electron cyclotron resonance heating (ECRH) at the magnetic mirror device Gas Dynamic Trap (GDT, Budker Institute, Novosibirsk) are discussed. This system based on two 400 kW/54.5 GHz gyrotrons is aimed at increasing the electron temperature up to the range 250–350 eV for improved energy confinement of hot ions.

Dynamics of plasma confinement during ECR heating in the L-2M stellarator

open access: diamondJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2018
Dynamics of plasma confinement was considered in the experiments on ECR plasma heating in the L-2M stellarator. It was ascertained that four stages can be distinguished in the process of plasma heating and further cooling. In each stage, plasma confinement has its own distinctive features.

Carrier properties of B atomic-layer-doped Si films grown by ECR Ar plasma-enhanced CVD without substrate heating [PDF]

open access: goldScience and Technology of Advanced Materials, 2017
The atomic-layer (AL) doping technique in epitaxy has attracted attention as a low-resistive ultrathin semiconductor film as well as a two-dimensional (2-D) carrier transport system.

ECR Heating in a Helicon Device [PDF]

open access: greenAIP Conference Proceedings, 2006
This paper presents a microwave electron cyclotron resonance heating system for the linear magnetized VINETA helicon device. Thereby, a relatively cold helicon wave generated plasma is heated by resonant electron cyclotron waves. The magnetic field configuration is adjusted such that resonant energy transfer occurs locally to heat the plasma electrons.

Experiment of two-frequency heating for production of multiply charged ion at compact ECR ion source

open access: diamond, 2022
Several research and developments have been performed at a compact ECR ion source (Kei3) with a fixed magnetic field at HIMAC. The Kei3 is a testing machine for application of Kei series developed for high-energy carbon-ion radiotherapy.

A METHOD FOR MEASURING THE POWER OF A HIGH-AMPLITUDE PULSED-MODULATED MICROWAVE SIGNAL FOR THE ECR PLASMA HEATING

open access: goldProblems of Atomic Science and Technology, 2023
This paper describes a technique for measuring the power of the microwave source of the “VOLNA” setup, designed to study the electron cyclotron resonances (ECR) in plasma. The purpose of this work was to increase the electric field strength in the plasma,

Magnetoelectric heating in the ECR plasma

open access: hybridActa Physica Sinica, 2011
The magnetoelectric heating is investigated on an ECR plasma device. The ion temperatures are measured by ion sensitive probe (ISP) before and after magnetoelectric heating. The influences of bias voltage of electrical ring, magnet field and pressure on ion temperature and the efficiency of ion heating are studied.
