Semiramis: An Early 11th c. Norman Text with Anglo-Danish Connotations Reviewed as a Dramatic Script
This article discusses a text, a satire, in the manuscript Paris, Bibl. Nat. lat. 8121 A. Conveniently this section of the codex is called Semiramis (see Dronke 1970). Based on Dronke's (1970) and Gunnell's (1995) research, the article looks further into

This study introduces an innovative interpenetrating layered structure, comprising alternating aramid nanofiber (ANF) layers and MXene layers, fabricated through a directional freeze–thaw intercalation–gel‐film formation strategy. Unlike traditional homogeneous layered films, this unique layered structure features mutually embedded conductive and ...

A neural network‐enabled permittivity engineering paradigm is introduced, transcending traditional trial‐and‐error design. By decoupling electromagnetic parameters and screening a high‐throughput feature space, an ultrathin (1.0 mm) magnetic absorber is inversely designed, experimentally achieving a superior and customizable 5.1 GHz bandwidth and ...

Non‐Equilibrium Synthesis Methods to Create Metastable and High‐Entropy Nanomaterials
ABSTRACT Stabilizing multiple elements within a single phase enables the creation of advanced materials with exceptional properties arising from their complex composition. However, under equilibrium conditions, the Hume–Rothery rules impose strict limitations on solid‐state miscibility, restricting combinations of elements with mismatched crystal ...

Fe‐Based Nanocrystalline Magnetic Shielding Cylinder with Subfemtotesla‐Level Magnetic Noise
Shields with low magnetic noise are achieved by integrating Fe‐based nanocrystalline magnetic shielding cylinders into shielding systems based on μ‐metal. Benefiting from high permeability and low loss factor, Fe‐based nanocrystalline magnetic shielding cylinders effectively suppress magnetic noise. Notably, the magnetic shielding cylinder with the ten‐

Increasing the density and homogeneity of soft magnetic composites are critical for achieving high power density and low core loss. This work proposes a novel strategy by combining ultrasonic‐assisted pressing and cold pressing. In this line, the density and permeability of magnetic core have been increased a lot, while the core loss is decreased ...

Exchange Length Tailored Magnetic Resonance for Broadband Absorption in FeCo‐Based Alloys
To break the high‐frequency magnetic loss bottleneck in soft magnetic alloys, a magnetic exchange length (Lex)‐guided strategy is proposed. Cu doping increases Lex and intergranular coupling, which effectively reduces magnetic anisotropy and pushes the exchange resonance to 12.0 GHz.

Peaceful Alliances: The Collocative Policy of friþ- in Old Germanic Poetry
This article examines the collocative behaviour of the Old English term friþ- ‘peace’, ‘protection’, and its Old Saxon and Old Norse cognates across the poetic traditions preserved in these languages. Building on the methodological framework established
