Surface‐Spin‐Induced Magnetic Loss Enhancement in Ultralight Electromagnetic Absorbers
Fe3O4 nanoparticles with different hollow rates were synthesized to demonstrate the key role of surface moment in magnetic loss process. Using the same volume filling ratio, the 54.1% hollow Fe3O4 absorber represents about 20% enhancement in the imaginary part (μ'') than solid particles due to the coexisting magnetic resonance of inside and outside ...

Exceptional Antimodes in Multi‐Drive Cavity Magnonics
Driven‐dissipative cavity‐magnonics provides a flexible platform for engineering non‐Hermitian physics such as exceptional points. Here, using a four‐port, three‐mode system with controllable microwave interference, antimodes and coherent perfect extinction (CPE) are realized, enabling active tuning to antimode exceptional points.

Simulation of Eddy Current Losses in Twisted Wires
Twisted wires made of insulated strands, known as stranded conductors or litz wires, are used in various areas where the eddy current loss within the wire needs to be reduced. These areas include induction heating, resonance-based wireless energy transfer, and certain radio frequency devices. Some litz wires consist of thousands of individual conductor

A new drag and lift correlation for spherocylinders from fully resolved Immersed Boundary Method
Abstract Many industrial processes deal with non‐spherical particles, e.g., mineral mining and biomass conversion. It is crucial to understand the particles' hydrodynamics to control and optimize these processes. To extend the current state‐of‐the‐art from arrays of spherical particles to spherocylindrical particles, we performed extensive particle ...
