Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Edge-Centric Efficient Regression Analytics [PDF]
We introduce an edge-centric parametric predictive analytics methodology, which contributes to real-time regression model caching and selective forwarding in the network edge where communication overhead is significantly reduced as only model's ...

Curve contour detection based on Helmholtz principle and application to road white line detection
We propose curve contour detection algorithm for road white line detection based on Helmholtz principle. White line detection is widely used in driver support systems used mainly in highway or major arterial road. As the common road will be the target of

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Introduction to edge computing
Edge computing is the model that extends cloud computing services to the edge of the network. This model aims to move decision-making operations as close as possible to data sources since it acts as an intermediate layer connecting cloud data centres to ...
