Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

A Method for Assessment of Segmentation Success Considering Uncertainty in the Edge Positions
A method for segmentation assessment is proposed. The technique is based on a comparison of the segmentation produced by an algorithm with an ideal segmentation. The procedure to obtain the ideal segmentation is described in detail.

Cytosolically synthesized chloroplast preproteins are translocated across the outer and inner envelope membranes through translocons called TOC and TIC, respectively. In green algae and plants, the TIC core is composed of essential membrane proteins, Tic12, Tic20, and Tic214.

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Computing degree based topological indices of algebraic hypergraphs
Topological indices are numerical parameters that indicate the topology of graphs or hypergraphs. A hypergraph H=(V(H),E(H)) consists of a vertex set V(H) and an edge set E(H), where each edge e∈E(H) is a subset of V(H) with at least two elements.

Some Remarks on the Annihilating-Ideal Graph of Commutative Ring with Respect to an Ideal [PDF]
The graph $ AG ( R ) $ {of} a commutative ring $R$ with identity has an edge linking two unique vertices when the product of the vertices equals {the} zero ideal and its vertices are the nonzero annihilating ideals of $R$.The annihilating-ideal graph ...

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Functional Connectivity Linked to Cognitive Recovery After Minor Stroke
ABSTRACT Objective Patients with minor stroke exhibit slowed processing speed and generalized alterations in functional connectivity involving frontoparietal cortex (FPC). The pattern of connectivity evolves over time. In this study, we examine the relationship of functional connectivity patterns to cognitive performance, to determine ...

The study of Koszul binomial edge ideals was initiated by V. Ene, J. Herzog, and T. Hibi in 2014, who found necessary conditions for Koszulness. The binomial edge ideal $J_G$ associated to a finite simple graph G is always generated by quadrics ...
