PCE and BNS admixture adsorption in sands with different composition and particle size distribution
The choice of a superplasticiser (SP) for concrete is of great complexity, as it is well known that properties of the end product are related to admixture and its compatibility with concrete components.

Modeling of Corrosion Rate and Resistivity of Steel Reinforcement of Calcium Aluminate Cement Mortar
Calcium aluminate cement (CAC) is a binder whose hydrated compounds change over time from cubic phases to hexagonal phases, producing an increase of porosity in reinforced concretes. Thereby, chloride ions, among other steel corrosion promoters, can enter the concrete more easily leading to an increase of the reinforcement corrosion process.

Coal Bottom Ash for Portland Cement Production
Because of industrialization growth, the amount of coal power plant wastes has increased very rapidly. Particularly, the disposal of coal bottom ash (CBA) is becoming an increasing concern for many countries because of the increasing volume generated, the costs of operating landfill sites, and its potential hazardous effects.

Spectroscopic Studies of the Behavior of Eu3+ on the Luminescence of Cadmium Tellurite Glasses
The effect of europium doping on the photoluminescence of ZnO‐CdO‐TeO2 glasses is analyzed. TeO2‐based glasses are of high interest as hosts for laser glasses. The Eu‐doped oxide glasses were prepared by the conventional melt‐quenching method. Five different concentrations of europium nitrate hexahydrate that varied from 0.3 to 1.5 mol% were used.

Mullite production by valorization of a hydrodesulphurization catalyst waste
Due to its high alumina and silica content, Ni–Mo catalyst waste is a suitable, amorphous raw material for producing aluminosilicate phases. Thermal treatment of the waste at 1200°C for 30 min yields a material containing 50 wt.% mullite and exhibiting 96% overall crystallinity. The addition of amorphous silica significantly enhances mullite formation:
