Abstract Intertidal zones are characterized by complex and dynamic thermal mosaics, where organisms experience extreme temperature variations influenced by microclimatic factors. Monitoring Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) Production by Mixed Microbial Cultures Using 2D Fluorescence Spectroscopy: Impact of Operating Conditions

2D fluorescence spectroscopy can monitor the PHA content in both stages where PHA is produced even when different operating conditions (OLR and sludge retention time [SRT]) were imposed, achieving intracellular PHA estimations with average errors below 4.0% and 5.0% gPHA/gTS.
