Comparative Research of Factors Influencing Education Mismatch and Skill Mismatch in Vocational Education

open access: yes
Abstract The phenomenon of segmentation of demand and supply of the skilled talent is directly related to mismatch of vocational education, and mismatches of education and skill are important aspects. Based on the four-year data of CFPS from 2014 to 2020, Stata14.0 was adopted to measure the incidence of education mismatch and skill mismatch ...

Ultrathin Li Metal Anodes: Quantitative Design Principles and Manufacturability Across Liquid and Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ultrathin lithium metal anodes (≤15 µm) offer a promising route to high‐energy‐density batteries due to their high capacity and low potential. This review presents design principles for ultrathin Li, evaluates fabrication strategies, and discusses challenges in liquid and solid‐state cells.

Double‐Sided Mechanical Interlocking Enables Soft‐Rigid Conductive Interfaces With a Record High Toughness for Flexible Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A double‐sided mechanical interlocking strategy is developed to create robust electrical contact between polymer electrode and metal interconnect. The fibrous structure enables formation of thread–hole adhesion, which only breaks under bulk failure and achieves a record high interfacial energy exceeding 730 J·m−2. This adhesion secures the integrity of

Toward a Unified Mechanistic Understanding of Polymer Electrolytes for Advanced Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Polymer electrolytes (PEs) are often indiscriminately grouped as “solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs)”, despite fundamental differences in their ion‐transport mechanisms. This Perspective establishes a mechanism‐based framework that distinguishes gel, quasi‐solid, and all‐solid polymer electrolytes based on their dominant ion‐transport pathways.

Causal Effects of Educational Mismatch in the Labor Market [PDF]

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2013
This paper analyzes the effect of educational mismatch on wages in Germany, using data from the German Socio-Economic Panel. Educational mismatch has been discussed extensively, mostly by applying OLS wage regressions which are prone to an unobserved heterogeneity bias. This problem is approached by using FE and IV models.

Attained vs.effective schooling: Assessing educational mismatch using PIAAC data

open access: yesInternational Labour Review
This article proposes a measure of educational mismatch based on a novel definition of schooling that takes into account the different levels of skills acquired by individuals with the same education. It is assumed that less (more) able individuals could
