Toward High‐Performance Electrochemical Energy Storage Systems: A Case Study on Predicting Electrochemical Properties and Inverse Material Design of MXene‐Based Electrode Materials with Automated Machine Learning (AutoML)

This study demonstrates PyCaret's AutoML framework for predicting the electrochemical and structural properties of MXene‐based electrodes, including intercalation voltage, capacity, and lattice constants. AutoML streamlines workflows, ranks key elemental descriptor, and enables inverse molecular formula prediction based on performance targets.

A Blending Approach for Dual Surface and Bulk Functionality in Organic Transistors

Dual‐mode organic transistor, combining Electrolyte‐Gated Organic Field‐Effect Transistor (EGOFET) and Organic Electrochemical Transistor (OECT) functionalities, is achieved by blending p‐type semiconducting polymer and n‐type mixed conducting fullerene.

Sulfonated Polystyrene/Polybenzimidazole Bilayer Membranes for Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries

PBI‐coated sulfonated polystyrene membranes are prepared, and the performance of the various possible assemblies of two such membranes is tested. A 52 µm thick PSSP assembly can be fabricated with a materials cost of just 1.84 USD m−2, and shows an energy efficiency of 89.7% at 80 mA cm−2.

Sulfonated para‐Polybenzimidazole Membranes for Use in Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries

Dense sulfonated para‐PBI membranes (MS‐PBI) are tested in the VRFB. The conductivity is 10 times lower than reported for MS‐PBI gel membranes, but 10 times higher than that of meta‐PBI. The influence of membrane preparation process, thickness, and operating temperature on the VRFB performance is investigated.
