Photosensitizer Repositioning Affords an Enantiocomplementary Enzyme for [2 + 2]‐Cycloadditions

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
In this study, we capitalize on the versatility offered by genetic code expansion to develop a proficient photoenzyme for [2 + 2]‐cycloadditions that is enantiocomplementary to our recently developed photoenzyme EnT1.3. By repositioning the genetically programmed benzophenone photosensitizer and subsequent directed evolution, we have developed an ...

HCN2‐Associated Neurodevelopmental Disorders: Data from Patients and Xenopus Cell Models

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective We aimed to characterize the phenotypic spectrum and functional consequences associated with variants in HCN2, encoding for the hyperpolarization‐activated cyclic nucleotide (HCN) gated channel 2. Methods GeneMatcher facilitated the recruitment of 21 individuals with HCN2 variants from 15 unrelated families, carrying HCN2 variants.

Insights into the Mechanisms Behind Structural Repair of Spent Layered Cathode Materials for Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Structural repair is key to direct recycling, yet its mechanisms remain unclear. By combining XRD, XAS, and 6Li solid‐state NMR, this study identifies a repair process involving re‐lithiation, oxygen capture, transition‐metal oxidation, and migration for LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2 layered cathode —governed by temperature and lithium compensation.

Zero‐Field Hybridization of Anomalous Nernst and Off‐diagonal Seebeck Effects in Artificially Tilted Multilayers

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, EarlyView.
Hybrid transverse thermoelectric conversion based on the anomalous Nernst and off‐diagonal Seebeck effects is achieved in in‐plane‐magnetized SmCo5/Bi0.2Sb1.8Te3‐based artificially tilted multilayers without the need for an external magnetic field.
