Non-factorizable effects in B-anti-B mixing

open access: yes, 2003
We study the B-parameter (``bag factor'') for B-anti-B mixing within a recently developed heavy-light chiral quark model. Non-factorizable contributions in terms of gluon condensates and chiral corrections are calculated.

Deep learning for electroencephalogram (EEG) classification tasks: a review

open access: yesJournal of Neural Engineering, 2019
Objective. Electroencephalography (EEG) analysis has been an important tool in neuroscience with applications in neuroscience, neural engineering (e.g. Brain–computer interfaces, BCI’s), and even commercial applications. Many of the analytical tools used

Changes of interictal epileptiform discharges during medication withdrawal and seizures: A scalp EEG marker of epileptogenicity

open access: yesClinical Neurophysiology Practice, 2022
Objective: To determine the influence of antiseizure medication (ASM) withdrawal on interictal epileptogenic discharges (IEDs) in scalp-EEG and seizure propensity.

The \beta-term for D^* --> D \gamma within a heavy-light chiral quark model

open access: yes, 2003
We present a calculation of the \beta-term for D^* --> D gamma within a heavy-light chiral quark model. Within the model, soft gluon effects in terms of the gluon condensate with lowest dimension are included.

A review of classification algorithms for EEG-based brain–computer interfaces

open access: yesJournal of Neural Engineering, 2007
In this paper we review classification algorithms used to design brain–computer interface (BCI) systems based on electroencephalography (EEG). We briefly present the commonly employed algorithms and describe their critical properties.

Enabling Knowledge: The Art of Nurturing Unknown Spaces

open access: yesNordic Journal of Art and Research, 2022
This article is both an exploration and a reflection on the process of generating knowledge from an encounter with the unknown. It documents what practising the ‘ethics of the unknown’ (Eeg-Tverbakk 2016) consisted of and what insights it led to in ...

Non-factorizable contributions to $\bar{B^0_d} \to D_s^{(*)} \bar{D_s^{(*)}}$

open access: yes, 2004
It is pointed out that decays of the type $B \to D \bar{D}$ have no factorizable contributions, unless at least one of the charmed mesons in the final state is a vector meson.

Correlation between amygdala BOLD activity and frontal EEG asymmetry during real-time fMRI neurofeedback training in patients with depression [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Real-time fMRI neurofeedback (rtfMRI-nf) is an emerging approach for studies and novel treatments of major depressive disorder (MDD). EEG performed simultaneously with an rtfMRI-nf procedure allows an independent evaluation of rtfMRI-nf brain modulation ...
