Automated identification system for seizure EEG signals using tunable-Q wavelet transform
In the present work, EEG signals of different classes are analysed in tunable-Q wavelet transform (TQWT) framework. The TQWT decomposes the EEG signals into subbands and arrange them into decreasing order of frequency. The nonlinearity of the EEG signals

Conventional therapies suffer from poor blood–brain barrier (BBB) penetration and disordered ion/reactive oxygen species (ROS) homeostasis, hindering precise neurological treatment. Electrochemical strategies achieve accurate spatiotemporal regulation of neural homeostasis.

In humans, epilepsy is diagnosed through electroencephalography (EEG) signals. Epileptic seizures (ESs) arise due to anxiety. The detection of anxiety-based seizures is challenging for radiologists, and there is a limited availability of anxiety-based ...

The spatio-temporal mapping of epileptic networks: Combination of EEG–fMRI and EEG source imaging [PDF]
Simultaneous EEG–fMRI acquisitions in patients with epilepsy often reveal distributed patterns of Blood Oxygen Level Dependant (BOLD) change correlated with epileptiform discharges.

We present SCIENCE, an in‐ear multimodal physiological monitor featuring two key innovations. Water‐triggered morphological expansion (a 2‐mm cylinder to a 9‐mm spindle) achieves conformal adaptation across complex canal geometries. Simultaneously, active biofouling mitigation disrupts cerumen barriers, reducing sensor‐skin impedance by 20%.

Abstract Dynamin 1 is a GTPase protein involved in synaptic vesicle fission, which facilitates the exocytosis of neurotransmitters necessary for normal signaling. Pathogenic variants in the DNM1 gene are associated with intractable epilepsy, often manifested as infantile spasms at onset, developmental delay, and a movement disorder, and are located in ...

Multichannel EEG Signal Classification -A Geometric Approach [PDF]
The study of the different sleep stages of a patient using his/her recorded EEG signals falls in the area of signal classification. In general, this involves extracting from the EEG signals, a signal feature on which the classification is performed.

Emotion Recognition Based on a EEG–fNIRS Hybrid Brain Network in the Source Space
Background/Objectives: Studies have shown that emotion recognition based on electroencephalogram (EEG) and functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) multimodal physiological signals exhibits superior performance compared to that of unimodal ...
