UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Tryggir bókun 35 einsleitni í réttarframkvæmd innan EES?

open access: yes, 2021
Bókun 35 skuldbindur aðildarríki EFTA til að setja lagaákvæði, sé þess þörf, að lagareglur EES gangi framar reglum landsréttar stangist þær á. Er markmiðið með bókuninni, og EES-samningnum í heild sinni, að mynda einsleitt Evrópskt efnahagssvæði.

Isolation of Extrachromosomal Elements by Histone Immunoprecipitation

open access: yesBioTechniques, 2001
Here, we describe a gentle and effective method for the rapid and reproducible isolation of histone-bound extrachromosomal DNA molecules called extrachromosomal elements (EEs). This method facilitates the harvest of a specific population of EEs following

Clinical Outcomes of SEEG‐Guided Radiofrequency Thermocoagulation in Children With Focal Drug‐Resistant Epilepsy: A Multicenter Real‐World Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Stereoelectroencephalography‐guided radiofrequency thermocoagulation (SEEG‐RFTC) has emerged as a safe and effective minimally invasive treatment for children with drug‐resistant focal epilepsy. Although evidence from real‐world studies remains limited, numerous pediatric cases have demonstrated promising outcomes. This retrospective

Automatic speech recognition predicts contemporaneous earthquake fault displacement

open access: yesNature Communications
Significant progress has been made in probing the state of an earthquake fault by applying machine learning to continuous seismic waveforms. The breakthroughs were originally obtained from laboratory shear experiments and numerical simulations of fault ...

Entwicklung eines hochauflösenden, dreidimensionalen Energy Equivalent Speed (EES)-Modells für Pkw. Tl.2 - Plattform zur EES-Berechnung

open access: yes, 2022

Memory and Resting‐State Connectivity in Acute Transient Global Amnesia: A Case–Control fMRI Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Transient global amnesia (TGA) is a striking model of isolated amnesia. While hippocampal lesions are well described, the network‐level mechanisms and the precise neuropsychological profile remain debated. Our objective was thus to characterize functional and neuropsychological correlates of acute TGA and their ...

Efficacy of vitamin C and ethanolic extract of Sesamum indicum in promoting fertility in male Wistar rats

open access: yesJournal of Human Reproductive Sciences, 2010
Aims: This study investigates the efficacy of ethanolic extract of Sesamum indicum (EES), vitamin C (VC), and EES + VC in promoting fertility and finding a possible link between their profertility effects and their antioxidant activities.

Can Endoscopic Tympanoplasty Be a Good Alternative to Microscopic Tympanoplasty? A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis [PDF]

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Otorhinolaryngology, 2019
Although efficacies and proportions of tympanoplasty performed via endoscopic ear surgery (EES) have gradually introduced, it remains unclear whether total EES is a good alternative to microscopic ear surgery (MES).
