INFLUENCE OF THE VIEWING GEOMETRY WITHIN HYPERSPECTRAL IMAGES RETRIEVED FROM UAV SNAPSHOT CAMERAS [PDF]
Hyperspectral data has great potential for vegetation parameter retrieval. However, due to angular effects resulting from different sun-surface-sensor geometries, objects might appear differently depending on the position of an object within the field of

Effective characterisation of learning objects
In this paper we describe a project that will develop and evaluate a model for learning object repositories, relating it to other projects. The model includes the semantic characterisation of learning objects and a description of how to use them in learning and teaching practices. This way we believe it will be possible to enhance reusability.

We show how to smoothly incorporate in the object-oriented paradigm constructs to raise, compose, and handle effects in an arbitrary monad. The underlying pure calculus is meant to be a representative of the last generation of OO languages, and the effectful extension is manageable enough for ordinary programmers; notably, constructs to raise effects ...

HAPTIC RENDERING OF THIN AND SOFT OBJECTS [PDF]
In this work, we take up the problem of modeling deformations, both local and global, along with stable translations for radially-thin virtual objects especially like that of a wire or a spaghetti noodle, during haptic manipulation.

Simulation of the effect of nonuniform fouling thickness on an axial compressor stage performance
This paper focuses on the numerical simulation of the flow status in the compressor with the condition of fouling. NASA stage 35 was considered as the object, and the commercial code ANSYS CFX was used.

OBJECT MANIFOLD ALIGNMENT FOR MULTI-TEMPORAL HIGH RESOLUTION REMOTE SENSING IMAGES CLASSIFICATION [PDF]
Multi-temporal remote sensing images classification is very useful for monitoring the land cover changes. Traditional approaches in this field mainly face to limited labelled samples and spectral drift of image information.

The Manipulability Effect in Object Naming
Seeing objects triggers activation of motor areas. The implications of this motor activation in tasks that do not require object-use is still a matter of debate in cognitive sciences. Here we test whether motor activation percolates into the linguistic system by exploring the effect of object manipulability in a speech production task.

ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...
