Spatially Modulated Morphotropic Phase Boundaries in a Compressively Strained Multiferroic Thin Film
ABSTRACT The coexisting rhombohedral‐like (R′, MA) and tetragonal‐like (T′, MC) monoclinic phases in compressively strained bismuth ferrite thin films exhibit exceptional piezoelectric and magnetic properties. While previous studies have largely focused on probing the morphotropic phase boundaries (MPBs) comprising ordered R′/T′ twins, their self ...

Glissile Interphase Boundaries Enable Collective Phase Switching in Epitaxial Polar Oxides
A triple point is identified in the phase diagram of low‐symmetry epitaxial BiFeO3 thin film along with an extended regime of phase competition associated with a flattened energy landscape. The electromechanical response is shown to be governed by correlated interphase‐boundary motion, including scale‐free avalanche dynamics characteristic of systems ...

Analysis of accretion disk around a black hole in dRGT massive gravity
We show the analysis of a thin accretion disk around a static and spherically symmetric black hole in dRGT massive gravity. We present the accretion disk analysis in a gravitational theory with a nonzero graviton mass.

The Effect of C22 on Orbit Energy and Angular Momentum [PDF]
AbstractThe effect of the C22 gravity field term on a particle is evaluated analytically over one orbit to find the change in orbit energy and angular momentum as an explicit function of the orbital inclination, argument of pericenter, longitude of the ascending node, orbit parameter and eccentricity.

Disorder‐Broadened Topological Hall Phase and Anomalous Hall Scaling in FeGe
By systematically introducing defects into FeGe via ion‐beam modification, we demonstrate that disorder broadens the temperature regime over which the topological Hall effect ‐ a signature of skyrmions or other chiral textures — appears, while also increasing its magnitude.

Calibrating angular momentum transport in intermediate-mass stars from gravity-mode asteroseismology
Context. The asteroseismology of gravity-mode (g-mode) pulsators covering BAF-type stars has shown that angular momentum is redistributed during the main sequence. The efficiency of the transport, however, remains largely uncalibrated. Aims.

Downward Control from Lower Stratosphere? [PDF]
The concept of downward control proposes a mechanism for the impact of the stratospheric circulation on the troposphere. Momentum forcing at upper-stratospheric levels induces a meridional circulation that eventually reaches the surface.

Exchange‐Coupled Two‐Dimensional MOFs
Graphene mediates ferromagnetic coupling between two‐dimensional metal‐organic frameworks and cobalt. Fe‐tetracyanobenzene develops a remanent magnetic response whose orientation follows the cobalt magnetization direction and persists up to room temperature, whereas Ni‐TCNB remains only field‐polarized.

Angular-momentum-selective nanofocusing with Weyl semimetals
We investigate the theory of surface plasmon polaritons on a magnetic Weyl semimetal conical tip. We show that the axion term in the effective electrodynamics modifies the surface plasmon polariton dispersion relation and allows all modes with a given ...
