Effective conductivity of nonlinear composites
Physical Review B, 1992The perturbation expansion method is used to compute the effective conductivity of nonlinear composite media. We develop perturbation expansions to solve nonlinear partial differential equations pertaining to the electrostatic boundary value problems.

Effect of digitalis on conduction of the heart
Progress in Cardiovascular Diseases, 1964Summaty o 1. The pharmacological action of digitalis, its interrelationship with potassium and clinical manifestations of depressed conduction due to this drug were reviewed. 2. Increased automaticity of the specialized conduction system due to digitalis does not necessarily parallel the changes in excitability of the myocardium.

EFFECT OF MIANSERIN ON CARDIAC CONDUCTION
Medical Journal of Australia, 1979A cardiovascular study of a new antidepressant, mianserin, given at 60 mg a day for a three-week period to 10 ambulant, moderately depressed patients is described. No effects on cardiac conduction were found by means of His bundle electrocardiography. Nine of 10 depressed patients improved while on the medication; mild sedation was the only side effect

Hall Effect in Impurity Conduction
Physical Review, 1961The existence of a nonvanishing Hall effect in the "impurity conduction" regime of a semiconductor is demonstrated. In this regime (prevalent at low temperatures and at low impurity concentrations) the dominant electron transport mechanism is the phonon-induced hopping of charge carriers from occupied to unoccupied majority sites.

The Effect of Temperature and Content of Conductive Filler on the Conductivity of Conductive Rubber
Materials Science Forum, 2008How the volume resistance rate of the conductive polymer composite material such as nitrile rubber (NBR) filled with ACET changes with temperature is studied. How the volume resistance rate of different conductive polymer composite material is affected by the content of ACET is studied. Such cases are then explained theoretically.

Effective Conductivity of an Anisotropic Heterogeneous Medium of Random Conductivity Distribution
Multiscale Modeling & Simulation, 2011Summary: The paper deals with the effective conductivity tensor \(K_{\text{ef}}\) of anisotropic random media subject to mean uniform flux. The hydraulic conductivity \(K\) field is modeled as a collection of spheroidal disjoint inclusions of different, isotropic and independent \(Y=\ln K\); the latter is a random variable with given distribution of ...

Effect of crosslinking on the conductivity of conductive silicone rubber
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2003AbstractWe investigated the effect of polyvinylsilicone oil (C gum) as a crosslinker and 2,5‐bis(tert‐butyl peroxy)‐2,5‐dimethyl hexane (DBPMH) as a curing agent on the conductivity of conductive silicone rubber with two different kinds of conducting mechanisms.

Effects of shrinkage on conductivity of isotropic conductive adhesives
Proceedings International Symposium on Advanced Packaging Materials. Processes, Properties and Interfaces (IEEE Cat. No.99TH8405), 2000Our previous study proved that intimate contact between conductive fillers caused by resin cure shrinkage, rather than lubricant removal, was the main mechanism for establishment of conductivity of isotropic conductive adhesives (ICAs). The purpose of the present study was to investigate the changes in properties, especially in dimension (cure ...

Effective thermal conductivity of nanofluids: the effects of microstructure
Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 2010We examine numerically the effects of particle–fluid thermal conductivity ratio, particle volume fraction, particle size distribution and particle aggregation on macroscale thermal properties for seven kinds of two-dimensional nanofluids. The results show that the radius of gyration and the non-dimensional particle–fluid interfacial area are two ...

The effect of mesoscopic conductance fluctuations on macroscopic conductances
AIP Conference Proceedings, 1992The existence of mesoscopic conductance fluctuations invalidates the traditional concept of impurity average conductances even for metallic systems which are much larger than the inelastic scattering length. We use the methodology of classical conductance networks in order to incorporate the effect of mesoscopic conductance fluctuations in a self ...
