Patterning the Void: Combining L‐Systems with Archimedean Tessellations as a Perspective for Tissue Engineering Scaffolds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a novel multi‐scale scaffold design using L‐fractals arranged in Archimedean tessellations for tissue regeneration. Despite similar porosity, tiles display vastly different tensile responses (1–100 MPa) and deformation modes. In vitro experiments with hMSCs show geometry‐dependent growth and activity. Over 55 000 tile combinations

How to improve the key component's quality: the impact of overconfident manufacturer's R&D investment

open access: yesOperations Research Perspectives
In the EV supply chain, R&D cooperation for key components between the manufacturer and tier 2 supplier is common. This paper primarily explores the effects of cross-echelon R&D cooperation and overconfidence on the quality and price of key components ...

Large Anomalous and Topological Hall Effect and Nernst Effect in a Dirac Kagome Magnet Fe3Ge

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fe3Ge, a Kagome‐lattice magnet, exhibits remarkable anomalous Hall and Nernst effects, with transverse thermoelectric conductivity surpassing or comaprable to some well‐known ferromagnets. First‐principles calculations attribute these to Berry curvature from massive Dirac gaps. Additionally, topological Hall and Nernst signals emerge from field‐induced

Precio de compra indeterminable, consumidor y acción de reducción del precio: ¿son compatibles en el Draft Common Frame of Reference? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper, cognizant of the Open Price Contract view established in the Principles of European Contract Law and in the Draft Common Frame of Reference, assesses whether this solution may be best or effective in the case of the contract of sale ...

Defect‐Mediated Scintillation in Fully Inorganic Perovskites via Water‐Induced 0D/3D Phase Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A reproducible synthesis to control 3D/0D phase ratios via water‐tuned solvent–antisolvent methods is presented. Enhanced scintillation yield and ultrafast decay are achieved. Defect‐driven emission mechanisms are revealed through cathodoluminescence and radioluminescence, shedding light on the underexplored role of the 0D Cs4PbBr6 and mixed 0D/3D ...

Teacher Shortages, Teacher Contracts and their Impacton Education in Africa [PDF]

open access: yes
Primary school enrolment rates are very low in francophone Africa. In order to enhance education supply, manycountries have launched large teacher recruitment programmes in recent years, whereby teachers are no longer engaged on civil servant positions ...

Fermi Surface Nesting and Anomalous Hall Effect in Magnetically Frustrated Mn2PdIn

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Mn2PdIn, a frustrated inverse Heusler alloy, showing electronic‐structure driven anomalous Hall effect with Weyl crossings, Fermi‐surface nesting and near‐zero magnetization ideal for low‐magnetization spintronics. Abstract Noncollinear magnets with near‐zero net magnetization and nontrivial bulk electronic topology hold significant promise for ...

Implementation of Drug‐Induced Rhabdomyolysis and Acute Kidney Injury in Microphysiological System

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A modular Muscle–Kidney proximal tubule‐on‐a‐chip integrates 3D skeletal muscle and renal proximal tubule tissues to model drug‐induced rhabdomyolysis and acute kidney injury. The coculture system enables dynamic tissue interaction, functional contraction monitoring, and quantification of nephrotoxicity, revealing drug side effect‐induced metabolic ...
