NOISE EFFECTS IN POLYMER DYNAMICS [PDF]
The study of the noise induced effects on the dynamics of a chain molecule crossing a potential barrier, in the presence of a metastable state, is presented. A two-dimensional stochastic version of the Rouse model for a flexible polymer has been adopted to mimic the molecular dynamics and to take into account the interactions between adjacent monomers.

Effective field theory for quasicrystals and phasons dynamics
We build an effective field theory (EFT) for quasicrystals -- aperiodic incommensurate lattice structures -- at finite temperature, entirely based on symmetry arguments and a well-define action principle.

Post-Minkowskian effective field theory for conservative binary dynamics
We develop an Effective Field Theory (EFT) formalism to solve for the conservative dynamics of binary systems in gravity via Post-Minkowskian (PM) scattering data. Our framework combines a systematic EFT approach to compute the deflection angle in the PM

Adaptive contact networks change effective disease infectiousness and dynamics. [PDF]
Human societies are organized in complex webs that are constantly reshaped by a social dynamic which is influenced by the information individuals have about others. Similarly, epidemic spreading may be affected by local information that makes individuals

Universal effective hadron dynamics from superconformal algebra
An effective supersymmetric QCD light-front Hamiltonian for hadrons composed of light quarks, which includes a spin–spin interaction between the hadronic constituents, is constructed by embedding superconformal quantum mechanics into AdS space.

Dynamics of Terrorism in Contemporary Society for Effective Management
In the contemporary world, the effect of faith in religion cannot be underestimated or overemphasized. In the olden days, traditional religion/faith of a particular locality was the only practice obtainable; however, new faiths emerged and are being ...

Metallic-based microcellular structures are widely used in heat and mass transfer processes owing to their unique combination of high porosity, high surface area, fixed pore morphology and high Young modulus, enabling their suitability as heat pipes in ...

The generalized rheological tests on sandstone were conducted under both dynamic stress and seepage fields. The results demonstrate that the rheological strain of the specimen under increased stress conditions is greater than that under creep conditions,

Effective Dynamics of Disordered Quantum Systems
We derive general evolution equations describing the ensemble-average quantum dynamics generated by disordered Hamiltonians. The disorder average affects the coherence of the evolution and can be accounted for by suitably tailored effective coupling ...
