An Analytical Model for Evaluating the Hydraulic Conductivity of the Fracture‐Conduit‐Matrix System
Abstract In the fracture‐conduit‐matrix system, distinct shape differences among water‐conducting channels (fractures and conduits) hinder developing an analytical model for flow characteristics and hydraulic conductivity assessment. To address this, we introduce the elliptic‐conduit‐matrix model (ECMM) under velocity slip interface conditions.

This study reveals the genetic and molecular mechanisms controlling the general trade‐off between phenotypic mean and plasticity of grain chalkiness in rice and identifies two major external drivers (high temperature and wide grain) and a natural major module (GCP6‐MPC5) that control this trade‐off.

Effective Meson Field Theory from QCD
We give a simple and straightforward procedure of how to construct an effective meson Lagrangian from QCD Lagrangian. We integrate the methods of Gasser, Leutwyler, Alkofer and Reinhardt and use the derivative expansion scheme to derive the low energy effective Lagrangian for meson fields to $O(p^4)$.

Tetraquarks in the Born-Oppenheimer approximation
The conventional loosely bound molecule interpretation of the X(3872) is not compatible with the recent LHCb experimental measurement of the ratio of branching fractions R $$ \mathcal{R} $$ = Br(X → ψ′γ)/Br(X → ψγ). We systematically determine the entire

Abstract The development of novel mid‐infrared (MIR) devices and systems is crucial for addressing applications in biomedical analysis, chemical reaction‐monitoring, or high‐bitrate free‐space telecommunication. Combining multiple functional elements on one chip into complex miniaturized photonic integrated circuits (PICs), is the next step in these ...

Topics in Lattice QCD and Effective Field Theory
Effective field theories provide a formalism for categorizing low-energy effects of a high-energy fundamental theory in terms of the low-energy degrees of freedom. This process has been well established in mapping the fundamental theory of QCD in terms of the hadronic degrees of freedom, which allows for quantitative connections and predictions between

The anomalous chiral Lagrangian at order p 8
We derive the order p 8 Lagrangian of odd intrinsic parity for mesonic chiral perturbation theory, and provide the resulting operator basis in the supplementary material.

LARGE COMPONENT QCD AND THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK OF HEAVY QUARK EFFECTIVE FIELD THEORY [PDF]
Based on a large component QCD derived directly from full QCD by integrating over the small components of quark fields with |p| < E + mQ, an alternative quantization procedure is adopted to establish a basic theoretical framework of heavy quark effective field theory (HQEFT) in the sense of effective quantum field theory.
