ShcD adaptor protein drives invasion of triple negative breast cancer cells by aberrant activation of EGFR signaling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identified adaptor protein ShcD as upregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer and found its expression to be correlated with reduced patient survival and increased invasion in cell models. Using a proteomic screen, we identified novel ShcD binding partners involved in EGFR signaling pathways.

Tonic signaling of the B‐cell antigen‐specific receptor is a common functional hallmark in chronic lymphocytic leukemia cell phosphoproteomes at early disease stages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
B‐cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B‐CLL) and monoclonal B‐cell lymphocytosis (MBL) show altered proteomes and phosphoproteomes, analyzed using mass spectrometry, protein microarrays, and western blotting. Identifying 2970 proteins and 316 phosphoproteins, including 55 novel phosphopeptides, we reveal BCR and NF‐kβ/STAT3 signaling in disease ...

On Effective Field Theories at Finite Temperature [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1997
Chapter one is devoted to a study of fermions and bosons in two spatial dimensions in external electromagnetic fields. The effectve action is calculated by integrating out the matter fields. In chapter two, I investigate the resummation program of Braaten and Pisarski.

Towards effective topological field theory for knots

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2015
Construction of (colored) knot polynomials for double-fat graphs is further generalized to the case when “fingers” and “propagators” are substituting R-matrices in arbitrary closed braids with m-strands. Original version of [25] corresponds to the case m=

HDAC4 regulates apoptosis in Acan‐CreERT2;HDAC4d/d mice with osteoarthritis by downregulating ATF4

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Using the AcanCreERT2;HDAC4fl/fl genetic mouse model, we further investigated the role of histone deacetylase 4 (HDAC4) in chondrocyte apoptosis. We found that knocking down HDAC4 may be associated with chondrocyte apoptosis by upregulating the activating transcription factor 4 (ATF4)/CAAT/enhancer binding protein homologous (CHOP) signaling pathway ...

On expansions in neutrino effective field theory

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We match the seesaw model for generating neutrino masses onto the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT). We perform this matching at tree level up to dimension seven in the operator expansion.

Evaluation of synaptotagmin‐1 action models by all‐atom molecular dynamics simulations

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We used molecular dynamics simulations to test models proposing that synaptotagmin‐1 facilitates membrane fusion by perturbing lipid bilayers, inducing membrane curvature and/or bridging membranes. The simulations show that synaptotagmin‐1 C2‐domains placed near the site of fusion hinder the ability of SNARE complexes to bring the membranes together ...

Pharmacological effects of osimertinib on a chicken chorioallantoic membrane xenograft model with the EGFR exon‐19‐deleted advanced NSCLC mutation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Osimertinib reduces angiogenesis and PDL1 expression in in ovo tumors, transforming them into ‘cold tumors’ with lower immune activity. Anatomopathological and transcriptomic analyses highlight its therapeutic impact on tumor biology. This study underscores osimertinib's potential to reshape the tumor microenvironment and provides insights into its ...

Many-body perturbation theory for strongly correlated effective Hamiltonians using effective field theory methods

open access: yesSciPost Physics
Introducing low-energy effective Hamiltonians is usual to grasp most correlations in quantum many-body problems. For instance, such effective Hamiltonians can be treated at the mean-field level to reproduce some physical properties of interest. Employing

Red blood cells could protect miRNAs from degradation or loss thanks to Argonaute 2 binding

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The present work investigates the presence and the stability of miRNAs into RBCs, both native and engineered. The observed stability is due to the Ago2 bound resulting in minimal RISC. Indeed, if the miRNA‐Ago2 complex is present, miRNAs are protected from release or degradation and they are biologically active. Thus, RBCs can act as miRNA carriers for
