Right ventricular reverse remodelling after transcatheter tricuspid valve intervention (TTVI). Optimal tricuspid regurgitation (TR) reduction is critical for right ventricular reverse remodelling. CMR, cardiac magnetic resonance; echo, echocardiography; RV EDV, right ventricular end‐diastolic volume. Abstract Aims Right ventricular reverse remodelling (

In the PRIME‐MR study, patients with higher N‐terminal pro‐B‐type natriuretic peptide (NT‐proBNP) tertiles more frequently reached death or heart failure hospitalization (HFH) within 3 years. Log‐transformed NT‐proBNP levels independently predicted the primary endpoint (adjusted hazard ratio 1.17, 95% confidence interval 1.07–1.28; p < 0.001).

What Does 3D Echocardiography Add to 2D Echocardiography in the Assessment of Mitral Regurgitation? [PDF]
peer reviewedPURPOSE OF REVIEW: The purpose of this review was to elucidate the additional value of 3D echocardiography for the assessment of mitral regurgitation (MR) compared to standard 2D echocardiography.

Background Mitral regurgitation volume (MRvol) by quantitative pulsed Doppler (QPD) method previously recommended suffers from geometric assumption error because of circular geometric assumption of mitral annulus (MA).

ABSTRACT Background Previous studies have shown that atrial high‐rate episodes (AHREs) after cardiac device implantation are associated with the occurrence of stroke. This study aimed to explore the predictive value of echocardiographic indices, namely left ventricular mass index (LVMI) and relative wall thickness (RWT), for AHREs following ...

Time variation of mitral regurgitant flow in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy.
Angiographic results in patients with mitral regurgitation suggest that up to 50% of the regurgitant volume occurs during the preejection period. This contrasts markedly with the electromagnetic measurements of mitral regurgitant flow in anesthetized ...

Abstract Aims Asses the added value of quantitative evaluation of tricuspid regurgitation (TR), the proper cut-off value for severe TR and ‘torrential TR’ based on outcome data. The added value of quantitative evaluation of TR, and the cut-off values associated with increased mortality are unknown.

ABSTRACT We present a 74‐year‐old female with a history of mechanical aortic and mitral valve implantation and non‐Hodgkin lymphoma. She presented with right sided heart failure due to severe functional tricuspid regurgitation and was treated with transcatheter TricValve bicaval system implantation.

Background: Quantification of mitral regurgitation (MR) has always required an “integrated approach” as there is no single gold-standard method. We investigated a new Doppler-derived parameter “left ventricular early inflow-outflow index (LVEIO)” for the
