Effective Temperature Determination
2014Effective temperature is the most important stellar atmospheric parameter. It is an essential prerequisite for detailed spectroscopic analyses. A discussion of the methods for determining effective temperature using stellar spectra is presented. The use of Balmer line profiles is explored and the role of spectral line depth ratios outlined.
