Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

Effective Thermal Retardation in Aquifers of Heterogeneous Hydraulic Conductivity
Thermal retardation and dispersion are important processes affecting advective heat transport in sedimentary aquifers, yet little is known how they are influenced by heterogeneity of hydraulic conductivity.

Time‐restricted feeding (TRF) in mice increased liver fatty acid oxidation and decreased fatty acid biosynthesis. These alterations persisted when TRF was discontinued and the host was infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Pre‐exposure to TRF did not alter tissue (lung and spleen) mycobacterial burden but significantly reduced CD3+ T cells in lungs

The Effect of the Thermal Conductivity of the Substrate on Droplet Evaporation [PDF]
The evaporation of liquid droplets is of fundamental importance to industry, with a vast number of applications including ink-jet printing, spray cooling and DNA mapping, and has been the subject of considerable theoretical and experimental research in recent years. Significant recent papers include those by Deegan [1], Deegan et al. [2], Hu and Larson

TisIBP8, a fungal‐derived hyperactive ice‐binding protein, helps Caenorhabditis elegans survive dehydration. It localizes near cell membranes, reduces cell damage, and helps maintain membrane structure during drying. These results suggest that ice‐binding proteins can protect cells from dehydration stress as well as freezing stress.
