Efficient Solution of Maggi’s Equations
Journal of Computational and Nonlinear Dynamics, 2011According to a recent paper (Laulusa and Bauchau, 2008, “Review of Classical Approaches for Constraint Enforcement in Multibody Systems,” ASME J. Comput. Nonlinear Dyn., 3(1), 011004), Maggi’s formulation is a simple and stable way to solve the dynamic equations of constrained multibody systems.

Characterizing ϵ-properly efficient solutions
Optimization Methods and Software, 2014In this paper, new necessary and sufficient conditions for characterizing ϵ-properly efficient solutions and new necessary conditions for characterizing ϵ-weakly efficient solutions of multiple objective optimization problems are presented. Note that all of the provided results are established without any convexity and boundedness assumptions on the ...

Energy efficient sealing solutions
World Pumps, 2018In the majority of UK and European plants, it is estimated that around 10% of the electrical power used is for pumping equipment. This represents a significant cost of a manufacturing operation. This article looks at how appropriate selection of mechanical sealing systems can have a major impact on the energy efficiency of a plant.

Efficiency of OPUS-RS solutions
Survey Review, 2018Today rapid-static GPS is an alternative surveying technique among other fundamental GPS surveying methods such as real-time kinematic and static GPS. It usually finds application areas in engineering surveying and monitoring of ground deformation for example landslides.

Approximately Efficient Solutions in Vector Optimization
Journal of Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis, 1996Summary: An approach to approximating solutions in vector optimization is developed for vector optimization problems with arbitrary ordering cones. This paper presents a study of approximately efficient points of a given set with respect to a convex cone in an ordered Banach space. Existence results for such approximately efficient points are obtained.

EFFICIENT SOLUTION TO UNIFORM ATOMIC BROADCAST
International Journal of Foundations of Computer Science, 2002Chandra and Toueg proposed in 1993 a new approach to overcome the impossibility of reaching deterministically Consensus — and by corollary Atomic Broadcast — in asynchronous systems subject to crash failures. They augment the asynchronous system with a possibly Unreliable Failure Detector which provides some information about the operational state of ...

Solution for efficient light control
International Journal of Advances in Computing and Information Technology, 2012Energy Saved is Energy Generated: When we save one unit of energy, it is equivalent to 3 units of energy produced. A typical 50,000 sq. ft. commercial building spends about $45,000 each year on lighting energy. Much of that money is wasted due to ineffective light control.

Cost-Efficient Solutions for Finnish Buildings
2017This chapter presents Finnish case studies of cost-efficient retrofitting. The first case study shows how multiobjective simulation can be utilized for selecting the most cost-efficient renovation measures. The second case study presents a real pilot building where cost-efficient renovation has been successfully implemented.
