Electrostatic force microscopy for the accurate characterization of interphases in nanocomposites
The unusual properties of nanocomposites are commonly explained by the structure of their interphase. Therefore, these nanoscale interphase regions need to be precisely characterized; however, the existing high resolution experimental methods have not ...

Examining early-type galaxy scaling relations using simple dynamical models
We use dynamical models that include bulk rotation, velocity dispersion anisotropy and both stars and dark matter to explore the conditions that give rise to the early-type galaxy scaling relations referred to as the Fundamental Plane (FP) and Manifold ...

Enterprise feedback management (EFM): what lies beyond the hype?
PurposeThe needs of CMOs to utilize a firm's data productively in order to support decision-making combined with the reported benefits of enterprise feedback management solutions has resulted in a rapid rise in usage and valuation of EFM providers. The explicit promise of EFM providers is improved financial performance, whereas there is no scientific ...

The scoping review summarizes the current preclinical and clinical evidence for the use of “cell‐free” therapies in craniofacial (periodontal, bone and soft‐tissue) regeneration. It also aims to highlight key challenges and strategies towards the clinical translation of these therapies.

Surface phase separation in nanosized charge-ordered manganites
Recent experiments showed that the robust charge-ordering in manganites can be weakened by reducing the grain size down to nanoscale. Weak ferromagnetism was evidenced in both nanoparticles and nanowires of charge-ordered manganites.

Content and Factors Influencing Health Education in Immunisation Clinics in Nigeria
ABSTRACT Background Most parents in Nigeria receive childhood vaccine education in a group clinic setting. These health talks are not standardised, and little is known about the topics addressed, how these topics are chosen, and how parents experience these talks. This study aimed to fill this knowledge gap.

The Ethics of Teaching Physicians Electronic Fetal Monitoring: And Now for the Rest of the Story*
Electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) does not predict or prevent cerebral palsy (CP), but this myth remains entrenched in medical training and practice.

Freshwater eels of the Anguilla genus are experiencing global decline, largely driven by human activity. In Aotearoa‐New Zealand, tuna (both shortfin and longfin eels) are similarly affected, with habitat fragmentation and modification key drivers of their decline.

Charge Characterization Of An Electrically Charged Fiber Via Electrostatic Force Microscopy [PDF]
The charge of a corona charged electret fiber as well as an uncharged glass fiber was characterized via Electrostatic Force Microscopy (EFM). Electrostatic force gradient images were obtained by monitoring the shifts in phase between the oscillations of ...

Work distributions for random sudden quantum quenches
The statistics of work performed on a system by a sudden random quench is investigated. Considering systems with finite dimensional Hilbert spaces we model a sudden random quench by randomly choosing elements from a Gaussian unitary ensemble (GUE ...
