First-Person Action-Object Detection with EgoNet

open access: yesRobotics: Science and Systems XIII, 2017
Unlike traditional third-person cameras mounted on robots, a first-person camera, captures a person's visual sensorimotor object interactions from up close. In this paper, we study the tight interplay between our momentary visual attention and motor action with objects from a first-person camera.

Egonet based anomaly detection in E-bank transaction networks

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2020
Abstract While most of the risks to online banking come from outside, some abnormal accounts can also cause losses to banks or their customers. In this work, we used a data set of 3,411,486 customers collected from a top Chinese bank to mine the abnormal accounts of online banking customers.

The unstable social networks of students: Where does dissimilarity drive tie dissolution?

open access: yesSociological Forum, Volume 40, Issue 1, Page 95-118, March 2025.
Abstract Social relations between demographically dissimilar people are less likely to last. But up till now, why relations with dissimilar friends, confidants, or even sport partners are less stable has remained unclear. We argue that the faster dissolution of ties to dissimilar others may stem from their weaker embeddedness in our social networks. We
