Particulate Fouling in EGR Coolers

<div class="htmlview paragraph">The physical process of particulate fouling in EGR coolers is analyzed in this paper. Various particulate-deposition mechanisms are discussed and an order of magnitude comparison suggests that thermophoresis is the dominant mechanism for the EGR cooler fouling.
