Computational Analysis of Spray Angle Effects on Combustion and Emissions in Methane‐Diesel Dual‐Fuel Engine

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 1100-1112, March 2026.
This study concluded that wider spray angles produce wall impingement and greater unburned hydrocarbons in methane‐diesel dual‐fuel engines, whereas 110° balances efficiency and emissions. ABSTRACT A diesel methane dual fuel engine appears as a potential means for lowering emissions while retaining useful thermal efficiency.

Parametric Study on EGR Cooler Fouling Mechanism Using Model Gas and Light-Duty Diesel Engine Exhaust Gas

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and high-pressure fuel injection are key technologies for reducing diesel engine emissions in the face of reinforced regulations. With the increasing need for advanced EGR technologies to achieve low-temperature combustion

An Updated Narrative Review on the Therapeutic Potential of Resveratrol in the Treatment of Cancer

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Cancer is a significant global health challenge, affecting millions of people every year. Overall survival rates have improved over time, but some patients exhibit treatment resistance, prompting ongoing research to find suitable and effective sensitizers.

Vibroacoustic diagnosis of EGR system

open access: yesCombustion Engines, 2008
The Exhaust Gas Recirculation is a popular system of recirculation of the automotive vehicle emission. The principle of working depends on the forcing in the part of outlet gas to the combustion chamber. The polluted flowing valve of circuit has an influence on stability of engine’s work.

Impact of Fully Time‐Varying Freshwater Fluxes From Greenland and Rivers on Externally Forced and Internal Sea Level Variability

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Oceans, Volume 131, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract In forced ocean general circulation models (OGCMs), regional sea‐level interannual variability arises from internal ocean dynamics and external forcings, among which freshwater fluxes from Greenland and rivers are typically prescribed as a seasonal climatology rather than with their full variability.

Acceleration of Lactate Uptake and Utilization Contributes to Neuroprotective Action of FGF21 Involved in Naturally Aging Mice

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 3, March 2026.
The left panel shows cerebral lactate homeostasis in young mice. The middle panel displays accelerated ANLS rates due to FGF21 secretion in aging mice. The right panel demonstrates that lactate uptake and usage inhibition contribute to lactate extracellular accumulation, followed by HCA1‐mediated learning and memory decline in mice.

Mouse genome engineering uncovers 18 genes dispensable for male reproduction

open access: yesAndrology, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 833-846, March 2026.
Abstract Background Male infertility is an intricate multifactorial disease involving the interplay between genetic and environmental factors. Genetic anomalies account for more than 15% of all male infertility cases; however, diagnosing them exhibits enormous challenges due to variable symptomatic presentations and limited knowledge of gene functions.

Comparative Transcriptomic Analysis of Human Macrophages During Mycobacterium avium Versus Mycobacterium tuberculosis Infection

open access: yesMolecular Microbiology, Volume 125, Issue 3, Page 185-202, March 2026.
Human macrophage transcriptomic responses to Mycobacterium avium (Mav), a major cause of nontuberculous lung disease, were compared to Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb). Both infections activated overlapping immune pathways, including cytokine signaling and GPCRs involved in lipid metabolism, while phospholipases were more strongly regulated by Mav and ...

Effects of combining EGR and supercharging on the combustion characteristics of a diesel dual fuel engine with induced natural gas

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2018
This paper describes the results of a combination of EGR and supercharging applied to a diesel dual fuel (DDF) engine using natural gas (CNG) introduced from an intake pipe. The oxygen concentration in the intake charge were varied from 21% (without EGR)

Beyond species means – the intraspecific contribution to global wood density variation

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 249, Issue 6, Page 2630-2651, March 2026.
Summary Wood density is central for estimating vegetation carbon storage and a plant functional trait of great ecological and evolutionary importance. However, the global extent of wood density variation is unclear, especially at the intraspecific level. We assembled the most comprehensive wood density collection to date, including 109 626 records from
