Influence of Moisture on Electrical Properties of Fibre‐Reinforced Polymer Core Rod in the Decay‐Like Degraded Composite Insulator

open access: yesHigh Voltage, Volume 11, Issue 3, Page 838-847, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Abnormal heating due to decay‐like degradation in composite insulators is influenced by environmental moisture, but the relationship between the internal degradation status of the core rods and their electrical properties under varying humidity conditions remains poorly understood. In this work, the decay‐like degraded fibre‐reinforced polymer

Characterizing the Pathogenesis and Immune Response of Equine Herpesvirus 8 Infection in Lung of Mice

open access: yesAnimals, 2022
Equine herpesvirus type 8 (EHV-8), associated with abortion and severe respiratory disease in donkeys and horses, causes significant economic losses in the global equine industry. However, the pathogenicity of EHV-8 is still unknown. Mice are widely used

EHV antibodies in plains zebra.

open access: yes, 2015
OD values of antibody responses tested by peptide-based ELISA in captive (A and B) and wild (C and D) plains zebra using EHV-1_E (A and C) and EHV-9_G (B and D) peptides. Black line: cutoff above which samples are considered positive.

Epidemiology of equine herpesviruses (EHVs) in Ethiopian equids and invasion characteristics of EHV-1 and EHV-3 in respiratory and genital mucosae

open access: yes, 2017
The equine herpesviruses (EHVs) are ubiquitous pathogens in equine populations worldwide. They establish a lifelong latent infection, which ensures the survival of herpesviruses in equine populations. The currently available modified live and inactivated products of EHV-1 and EHV-4 vaccines are not reliably providing protection against infection.

The role of glycoprotein H of equine herpesviruses 1 and 4 (EHV-1 and EHV-4) in cellular host range and integrin binding

open access: yesVeterinary Research, 2012
Equine herpesvirus type 1 and 4 (EHV-1 and EHV-4) glycoprotein H (gH) has been hypothesized to play a role in direct fusion of the virus envelope with cellular membranes.

Standard and molecular methods in the diagnostics of infections caused by equine herpesviruses 1 and 4 [PDF]

open access: yesVeterinarski Glasnik, 2018
Background. Equine herpesvirus type 1 (EHV-1) is responsible for respiratory disease in young animals, abortion in pregnant mares and neurological disease, whilst equine herpesvirus 4 (EHV-4) is mainly the causative agent of respiratory disorders and ...

Social Determinants of Spinal Pathology in Adolescents From Urban Centers in the Post‐Medieval Netherlands (1650–1850 CE)

open access: yesInternational Journal of Osteoarchaeology, Volume 36, Issue 3, Page 697-708, May/June 2026.
ABSTRACT The study of trauma in individuals undergoing growth and development remains an understudied area of research but can provide unique insights into the lived experiences and social identities of young people in the past. This study examines vertebral compression fractures and Schmorl's nodes in children and adolescents (1–20 years at death ...
