About the spectral problem arising from robotic manipulator mechanics

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2009
A spectral boundary problem of special type containing a spectral parameter in the boundary condition is completely solved in this paper. The characteristic equation for spectrum points determination is obtained, the energy innerproduct is derived, and ...

On the completeness of a pair of biorthogonally conjugated systems of functions

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2015
In this paper we studied the spectral problem for an ordinary second order differential equation on a finite interval with a discontinuous coefficient of the highest derivative. At the ends of the segment the boundary conditions of the first kind are given.

Graph Eigenfunctions and Quantum Unique Ergodicity [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2010
We apply the techniques of our previous paper to study joint eigenfunctions of the Laplacian and one Hecke operator on compact congruence surfaces, and joint eigenfunctions of the two partial Laplacians on compact quotients of $\mathbb{H}\times\mathbb{H}$.

An Observation on Eigenfunctions of the Laplacian

open access: yesLa Matematica
In his seminal 1943 paper F. Rellich proved that, in the complement of a cavity $Ω= \{x\in \mathbb R^n\mid |x|>R_0\}$, there exist no nontrivial solution $f$ of the Helmholtz equation $Δf = - λf$, when $λ>0$, such that $\int_Ω |f|^2 dx < \infty$.

Multi‐Slit Diffraction in Scaled Space‐Time

open access: yesNatural Sciences, EarlyView.
A space‐time scaling is used to transform quantum wave packets describing free particle motion to packets moving in an effective harmonic oscillator potential that confines and directs the wave fronts along the classical phase space of the oscillator. The transformation is applied to multi‐slit diffraction and shown to characterize diffraction features

Parameter control of optical soliton in one‐dimensional photonic crystal

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2010
The paper deals with finding of soliton solution for Schrödinger equation with periodic linear and nonlinear properties of medium in 1D case. Such structure is named as photonic crystal.

A lower bound for the nodal sets of Steklov eigenfunctions [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
We consider the lower bound of nodal sets of Steklov eigenfunctions on smooth Riemannian manifolds with boundary--the eigenfunctions of the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map. Let $N_\lambda$ be its nodal set. Assume that zero is a regular value of Steklov eigenfunctions.

NUMERICAL METHODS FOR DISCONTINUOUS STURM-LIOUVILLE PROBLEMS

open access: yesJournal of New Theory, 2015
− This study is devoted to determining the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of a discontinuous Sturm-Liouville Problem. By modifying the finite difference method, we have developed anumerical approximation to the eigenvalues and ...

On Two-Fold Expansion Formulas For A Singular Sturm-Liouville Operator

open access: yesJournal of Applied Computer Science & Mathematics, 2019
In this paper, a singular Sturm-Liouville problem dependent spectral parameter in boundary condition is considered. Special solutions and scattering datas are defined.
