Topological Singularities and Edge‐State Coupling Enable Robust on‐Chip Slow Light

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates the first experimental observation of a topological quantum‐interference‐like effect in a 1D on‐chip system, utilizing two topological mechanisms for robust slow light. Topological charges ensure immunity to parameter deviations, while edge states provide robustness against disturbances.

Eigenvalue and Generalized Eigenvalue Problems: Tutorial

open access: yes, 2019
This paper is a tutorial for eigenvalue and generalized eigenvalue problems. We first introduce eigenvalue problem, eigen-decomposition (spectral decomposition), and generalized eigenvalue problem. Then, we mention the optimization problems which yield to the eigenvalue and generalized eigenvalue problems. We also provide examples from machine learning,

3D Topological Inorganic Electrides: Screening, Properties, and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In inorganic electrides, zero‐, one‐, and two‐dimensional (0D, 1D, and 2D) interstitial anionic electrons interconnect within lattice cavities, collectively forming a three‐dimensional (3D) network, further coupling magnetism and topological features, leading to the emergence of 3D topological inorganic electrides.

A generalization of the Landesman-Lazer condition

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2001
In this paper we prove the existence of solutions to the semi-linear problem $$ displaylines{ u''(x)+m^2 u(x)+g(x,u(x))=f(x)cr u(0)=u(pi)=0 }$$ at resonance.

Eigenvalue of (p,q)-Biharmonic System along the Ricci Flow

open access: yesAxioms
In this paper, we determine the variation formula for the first eigenvalue of (p,q)-biharmonic system on a closed Riemannian manifold. Several monotonic quantities are also derived.

Rapid and Ultra‐Sensitive SARS‐CoV‐2 Subgenomic RNA Detection Using Single‐Molecule With a Large Transistor‐SiMoT Bioelectronic Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The single‐molecule with a large transistor‐SiMoT is proposed for the detection of the subgenomic RNA of SARS‐CoV‐2, achieving a diagnostic sensitivity of 98.0% and a specificity of 87.8%. The SiMoT technology, currently at TRL‐5, is suitable for point‐of‐care settings and delivers the result to the end user in 30 min.

Mathematical model for the basilar membrane as a two dimensional plate

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 1999
In this paper we present two mathematical models for the basilar membrane. In the first model the membrane is represented as an annular region. In the second model the basilar membrane is treated as a rectangular region.
