ABSTRACT Multi‐supported non‐structural components (NSCs) are prone to seismic damage, yet their response prediction remains challenging when support motions are spatially incoherent. This study proposes an enhanced quasi‐static condensation (EQSC) method for linear, lightweight, dynamically detuned multi‐supported NSCs under the neglect of primary ...

Characteristics, Motivators, and Enablers of Educators Who Earn Many Micro‐Credentials
ABSTRACT This study explores the characteristics, motivators, and enablers of US educators, who earned more than ten micro‐credentials. Although research exists on attitudes and motivators associated with educators newly engaging with micro‐credentials, it lacks insights into learners earning many micro‐credentials.

ABSTRACT The aim of this study is to examine the effect of participation in the virtual reality‐based environmental education (VRBEE) program on the creative problem‐solving (CPS) skills of middle school students in Turkey. The research was conducted with 125 students from a public middle school, and their CPS skills were assessed using a pre‐test–post‐

Hamiltonian eigenvalue symmetry for quadratic operator eigenvalue problems
When the eigenvalues of a given eigenvalue problem are symmetric with respect to the real and the imaginary axes, we speak about a Hamiltonian eigenvalue symmetry or a Hamiltonian structure of the spectrum. This property can be exploited for an efficient

Intraday Functional PCA Forecasting of Cryptocurrency Returns
ABSTRACT We study the functional PCA (FPCA) forecasting method in application to functions of intraday returns on Bitcoin. We show that improved interval forecasts of future return functions are obtained when the conditional heteroscedasticity of return functions is taken into account.

Forecasting With Dynamic Factor Models Estimated by Partial Least Squares
ABSTRACT Dynamic factor models (DFMs) have found great success in nowcasting and short‐term macroeconomic forecasting when incorporating large sets of predictive information. The factor loadings are typically estimated cross‐sectionally with principal component analysis (PCA) or maximum likelihood (ML), which ignore whether the factors have predictive ...
