Shared and Unique Neural Codes for Biological Motion Perception in Humans and Macaque Monkeys

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cross‐species fMRI studies reveal distinct neural mechanisms for biological motion (BM) processing. In humans, the posterior superior temporal sulcus (hpSTS) selectively responds to conspecific BM, while monkeys process BM from both species in the middle temporal area (MT).

Improving textural properties of gluten‐free veggie sausage with egg white proteins

open access: yesFood Bioengineering, Volume 1, Issue 3-4, Page 319-330, December 2022., 2022
This study reported two commercial egg white proteins (P110 and M200) to substitute gluten or xanthan gum in veggie sausages. Study shown M200 could substitute both the gluten and xanthan gum for improving the texture of veggie sausages. Abstract Gluten and gums are usually used in veggie sausage for textural purposes; however, they are not label ...

FREQ‐NESS Reveals the Dynamic Reconfiguration of Frequency‐Resolved Brain Networks During Auditory Stimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A new analytical pipeline, FREQuency‐resolved Network Estimation via Source Separation (FREQ‐NESS), reveals how the brain at rest is organized in frequency‐specific networks and dynamically rearranges during auditory stimulation. By analyzing source‐reconstructed magnetoencephalography (MEG) data, FREQ‐NESS uncovers the networks' prominence, spatial ...

Selection of the promising accessions of jamun (Syzygium cumini (L.) skeels) based on pomological characterizations

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 11, Issue 1, Page 470-480, January 2023., 2023
The obtained results are useful for designing conservation strategies for the germplasm as well as implementing breeding programs such as introducing cultivars with different goals such as early or late ripening and seedless, non‐astringent, large, and deeper color‐fruits.

Singular and non-singular eigenvectors for the Gaudin model [PDF]

open access: yesJ.Math.Phys. 42 (2001) 3497, 2002
We present a method to construct a basis of singular and non-singular common eigenvectors for Gaudin Hamiltonians in a tensor product module of the Lie algebra SL(2). The subset of singular vectors is completely described by analogy with covariant differential operators. The relation between singular eigenvectors and the Bethe Ansatz is discussed.

Topology‐Optimized Bound States in the Continuum with High‐Q Acoustic Field Enhancement

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a topology optimization method for acoustic metamaterials, achieving high‐Q resonances by redesigning a single unit cell within a periodic array. The design enables precise pressure confinement and energy trapping, validated through experiments.

Spectrum of free-form Sudoku graphs

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2018
A free-form Sudoku puzzle is a square arrangement of m ×m cells such that the cells are partitioned into m subsets (called blocks) of equal cardinality. The goal of the puzzle is to place integers 1, . .

Image segmentation by selecting eigenvectors based on extended information entropy

open access: yesIET Image Processing, 2023
For spectral clustering algorithm, the quality of eigenvectors of graph affinity matrix is very important for the clustering result. So, how to obtain high‐quality eigenvectors is crucial.

Static quark-antiquark potential and Dirac eigenvector correlators [PDF]

open access: yesJHEP 0805:030,2008, 2008
We represent the Polyakov loop correlator as a spectral sum of correlators of eigenvectors of the lattice Dirac operator. This spectral representation is studied numerically using quenched SU(3) configurations below and above the deconfinement temperature.

Origins, Dispersal, and Impact: Bidirectional Introgression Between Chinese and European Pig Populations

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates bidirectional introgression between Chinese and European pig populations, revealing 3558 introgressed genomic segments and 30 structural variations. Analysis of the BMP2 region suggests its role in body size enhancement. By integrating ancient and modern genomes, the study highlights the impact of introgression on genetic ...
