Optimization of 3D‐Printed Structured Packings—Current State and Future Developments
This paper gives an overview about structured packing development for distillation, surveying heuristic development cycles, computational fluid dynamics simulations, and additive manufacturing techniques. The emerging application of shape optimization to improve packings is emphasized, and its benefits, impact, and limitations are discussed.

Conformal operators on weighted forms; their decomposition and null space on Einstein manifolds [PDF]
There is a class of Laplacian like conformally invariant differential operators on differential forms $L^\ell_k$ which may be considered the generalisation to differential forms of the conformally invariant powers of the Laplacian known as the Paneitz ...

What happens, if in the synthesis of flat silver platelets, the slow deposition of silver along twinning faults is disturbed by the addition of a nobler metal? We have looked into it and found a way to fine‐tune the metal deposition in lateral and vertical direction.

Tensionless string limits in 4d conformal manifolds
Drawing on insights from the Swampland program, we initiate a classification of infinite distance limits in the conformal manifolds of 4d SCFTs. Each limit is characterized by a Hagedorn-like behavior of the large N density of states, which we argue ...

High atmospheric pressure (120 kPa) in deep underground counteracts humidity‐induced physiological stress in plants, stabilizing water balance and enhancing antioxidative defenses. This synergy boosts biomass despite elevated humidity, demonstrating sustainable deep underground agriculture potential under climate uncertainty.

Curvature-induced dynamical effective spacetime dimension in an extension of general relativity
We propose a covariant extension of general relativity in which the local effective dimension of spacetime is promoted to a dynamical, curvature-induced field on an underlying four-dimensional manifold.

Gravitational waves from a Weyl-Integrable manifold: a new formalism
We study the variational principle over an Hilbert-Einstein like action for an extended geometry taking into account torsion and non-metricity. By extending the semi-Riemannian geometry, we obtain an effective energy-momentum tensor which can be ...

Intramolecular (RO)2PO→Halogen interaction versus intermolecular (RO)2PO···HOH hydrogen bonds. Although the O···I distance is shorter than the sum of the van der Waals radii of the atoms involved, there is no covalency involved in this interaction.

An exhaustive classification of certain class of static solutions for the five-dimensional Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet theory in vacuum is presented. The class of metrics under consideration is such that the spacelike section is a warped product of the real ...

Constructions in Sasakian Geometry
We describe various constructions in Sasakian geometry. First we generalize the join construction of the first two authors to arbitrary Sasakian manifolds.
