Einstein’s life-long effort to develop a theory that unifies gravitation and electromagnetism was not a purely theoretical enterprise. The technical environment of a gyrocompass factory triggered his search for a novel connection between the rotation of an electrically uncharged body and its magnetic field. The dimensional equality of the electric unit

Mimicking Symmetry‐Breaking Einstein Ring by Optical Lens
This article uses an optical lens to emulate the gravitational lensing effect and observe the Einstein ring (ER) patterns. The symmetry‐breaking ER, i.e., Einstein cross, is observed utilizing a rotation‐symmetry‐breaking hemi‐ellipsoid lens. Deformed Einstein cross patterns induced by noncollinearly alignment of the light source–lens–observer are ...

Elevated levels of Tau in cerebrospinal fluids or other body fluids are associated with the progression of Alzheimer's disease. An optical technique, based on a dual label‐free and fluorescence operation mode, is developed to detect Tau protein in both standard running buffer and cerebrospinal fluid.

An Analysis of Elusive Relationships in Floating Zone Growth Using Data Mining Techniques
Ultra‐pure silicon single‐crystals can be grown by the Floating Zone (FZ) method. This study investigates intricate relationships between process stability measures and multiple growth parameters by applying data mining techniques on FZ simulations. Regression Trees identified multivariate relationships that help explaining complex interactions between

Almost Einstein and Poincare-Einstein manifolds in Riemannian signature [PDF]
An almost Einstein manifold satisfies equations which are a slight weakening of the Einstein equations; Einstein metrics, Poincare-Einstein metrics, and compactifications of certain Ricci-flat asymptotically locally Euclidean structures are special cases. The governing equation is a conformally invariant overdetermined PDE on a function.

Mitochondria across the entire neuromuscular system have been comprehensively reconstructed at different developmental stages using 3D electron microscopy. Fundamental structural principles related to synaptic function are preserved across development, and these morphologies are adapted to ensure effective neural circuit function.

By studying the maturation mechanisms of vasopressin (AVP), this manuscript identifies FAM134B‐mediated ER‐phagy as a critical pathway for degrading both aggregated proAVP and the key ERAD component, HRD1. HRD1 induction mitigates proAVP aggregation and support AVP neuron function in the absence of autophagy.

A curve of nilpotent Lie algebras which are not Einstein nilradicals [PDF]
The only known examples of noncompact Einstein homogeneous spaces are standard solvmanifolds (special solvable Lie groups endowed with a left invariant metric), and according to a long standing conjecture, they might be all. The classification of Einstein solvmanifolds is equivalent to the one of Einstein nilradicals, i.e.

Multiple Interactions in Polar Lead‐Free Perovskites toward Highly Stable X‐Ray Detection
In this work, 0D polar lead‐free halide perovskites (R/S‐BPEA)4Bi2I10 (R/S‐BPEA = R/S‐1‐(4‐bromophenyl)ethylammonium) with multiple interactions are successfully constructed by introducing a chiral organic cation BPEA. The devices based on their high‐quality SC exhibit excellent self‐driven X‐ray detection performance and high operational stability ...
