Hothouse Hydrology: Evolving River Dynamics in the Eocene Montllobat and Castissent Formations, Southern Pyrenees

open access: yesBasin Research, Volume 37, Issue 5, September–October 2025.
We use palaeohydrology to quantify landscape‐scale geomorphic change in the Eocene Southern Pyrenean foreland. In response to hyperthermal events and tectonics during mountain‐building, rivers became suddenly steeper and faster, with enhanced water and sediment flux and a marked change in planform.

The Individuality of Meaning in Life

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Philosophy, Volume 33, Issue 3, Page 1137-1153, September 2025.
Abstract In contemporary philosophical discourse, there is a widespread assumption that meaning in life is individual: that it is a value inherent in individual human lives, that the content of this meaning varies from individual to individual, and that it differs in degree based on the individual. Despite these claims, however, objectivist theories of

WNT5a export onto extracellular vesicles studied at single‐molecule and single‐vesicle resolution

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, Volume 292, Issue 17, Page 4631-4649, September 2025.
WNT signaling, which orchestrates tissue development and homeostasis, is mediated by hydrophobic WNT proteins traveling from secreting to receiving cells on various carriers. Here, fusion constructs of fluorescent proteins with WNT5a were developed and functionally validated.

On Standing Waves of 1D Nonlinear Schrödinger Equation With Triple Power Nonlinearity

open access: yesStudies in Applied Mathematics, Volume 155, Issue 3, September 2025.
ABSTRACT For the one‐dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation with triple power nonlinearity and general exponents, we study analytically and numerically the existence and stability of standing waves. Special attention is paid to the curves of nonexistence and curves of stability change on the parameter planes.

Stochastic Multisymplectic PDEs and Their Structure‐Preserving Numerical Methods

open access: yesStudies in Applied Mathematics, Volume 155, Issue 3, September 2025.
ABSTRACT We construct stochastic multisymplectic systems by considering a stochastic extension to the variational formulation of multisymplectic partial differential equations proposed in Hydon [Proceedings of the Royal Society A: Mathematical, Physical and Engineering Sciences, 461 (2005): 1627–1637].
