Multimodal Image Guidance in Subthalamic Deep Brain Stimulation for Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective Accurate electrode placement and individual stimulation parameters influence the outcomes of subthalamic deep brain stimulation in Parkinson's disease. Neuroimaging‐based models can help evaluate how electrode placement impacts improvement, aiming to reduce the burden of programming.

Einstein like -para Sasakian manifolds

open access: yesKuwait Journal of Science, 2013
Einstein like  -para Sasakian manifolds are introduced. For an  -para Sasakian manifold to be Einstein like, a necessary and sufficient condition in terms of its curvature tensor is obtained.

Surface Charges Guided Quasi‐TEM‐mode Microwave Propagation along Dielectric Nanowire

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
According to Maxwell's equations, a single‐conductor transmission line cannot allow TEM‐mode electromagnetic wave propagation, however, this is based upon the assumption that dielectric material is isolated from the environment. In practice, surface electrostatic charges widely existed in nano‐materials with large surface‐to‐volume ratio.

Einstein deformations of Kähler Einstein metrics

open access: yes
We study Einstein deformations of negative Kähler Einstein metrics. We relate the second order Einstein deformation theory of negative Kähler-Einstein metrics to the complex geometry of the underlying Kähler manifold. After suitable gauge normalisation we show that the Taylor expansion to order two of an Einstein deformation tangent to $h_1$ in the ...

Face and Construct Validity of a Grapefruit Arthroscopy Training Model With Active Fluid Management

open access: yesArthroscopy, Sports Medicine, and Rehabilitation, EarlyView.
Purpose To evaluate the face and construct validity of a grapefruit arthroscopy training model with active fluid management across varying levels of arthroscopic experience. Methods Orthopaedic residents, fellows, and attending surgeons were stratified into novice (n = 10), intermediate (n = 10), and advanced (n = 9) groups.

Moving beyond neurophobia to cultivate the neuroquisitive learner

open access: yesAnatomical Sciences Education, EarlyView.
Abstract “Neurophobia,” a pervasive fear of the neurological sciences, poses a significant barrier in medical education, affecting learners and physicians worldwide. Its consequences are far‐reaching, contributing to a limited neurology workforce and diminished confidence among non‐specialists in managing neurological conditions.

Some curvature tensors in N(k)-contact metric manifold

open access: yesBibechana, 2018
The purpose of this paper is to study W7and W9-curvature tensors on N(k)-contact metric manifolds. We prove that a N(k)-contact metric manifold satisfying the condition W7( xi,X).W9=0 is eta-Einstein manifold.

Event‐ and Time‐Based Prospective Memory and Time Perception in Autistic Adults With and Without Intellectual Disabilities

open access: yesAutism Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to examine time perception (i.e., the sense of the duration, order and passage of time) and event‐ and time‐based prospective memory (PM; i.e., the ability to recall an intention to perform an action in the future) in adults across the wider autism spectrum including those with intellectual disabilities.
