Evidence Exchange Under the EIO: Technological Challenges

2023
he European Investigation Order instrument offers a legal basis for exchanging evidence, in a digital manner, between competent authorities in different Member States of the European Union. The European directive explic- itly sets out that the transfer of the evidence obtained by the executing authority shall be transferred to the issuing authority ...

Different Perspectives on EIO

2023
The Chapter is dedicated to give an overview of the representatives of the legal domain (Lawyers, EJTN Representatives) and the technical community (Digital Forensics and IT Experts) who are involved in the implementation of the EIO, in order to discuss with them the improvement and application of EIO across MSs and better understanding in practise the

Power Enhancement of 38 GHz Sheet Beam EIO by Field Optimization

2021 46th International Conference on Infrared, Millimeter and Terahertz Waves (IRMMW-THz), 2021
A compact high power extended interaction oscillator (EIO) is studied with an aim to increase its output power. The cavity is designed, so that its transverse mode is TM 11 and the longitudinal mode is 2π and the operating frequency is 38 GHz. The modulating E z field is optimized in such a way that it varies ascendingly in the growing z-direction ...

Initial analysis of a coupled-cavity EIO

2016 IEEE International Vacuum Electronics Conference (IVEC), 2016
This paper presents the design and analysis of a 220GHz EIO with coupled-cavity structure. The dispersion curve is decided by using periodic boundary method and resonant method. The field distribution of the 2π modes is presented. Relationship between the structure dimension and the dispersion characteristics are analyzed. Detailed structure parameters

Research on 96GHz sheet-beam EIO

2019 44th International Conference on Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves (IRMMW-THz), 2019
Based on the sheet-beam EIO structure, this paper studies the cold cavity parameters and particle simulation of the 96 GHz sheet-beam EIO. The result shows average output power of the structure is 223W in TM 31 and the electron beam modulation depth is 26.1% with the voltage of 11.4kV and the current of 1.6A.

The Primary Research of 140GHz EIO

2019 International Vacuum Electronics Conference (IVEC), 2019
In this paper, a preliminary study of the structure of EIO is based on the EIO of the same aperture. The influence of the length of the coupling hole and the relative opening size on the EIO structure of the 2πoperating point was studied by computer simulation. The dispersion curves and Q values of the 140 GHz EIO in TM 11 and TM 31 modes are analyzed.

An advanced terahertz EIO operating with TM31 mode

2018 43rd International Conference on Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves (IRMMW-THz), 2018
In order to increase the feasibility and reliability of the terahertz extended interaction oscillator (EIO), the method of adopting TM31 in the reentry cavity is proposed. The characteristics of high-order EIO is theoretically analyzed, including its electromagnetic properties and the field distributions in it.

The efficiency optimization of the sheet beam EIO

2018 IEEE International Vacuum Electronics Conference (IVEC), 2018
The SBEIO-static program, a matlab program of the nonlinear theoretical calculation based on a 1-D electron model for the W-band sheet beam extended interaction oscillator (SBEIO), is presented. And the simulated annealing algorithm (SAA) of multi-parameters has been used to obtain a great structure of the high-frequency cavity with a high output power

Location Quotient EIO-LCA Method for Carbon Emission Analysis

2012
Promoting environmentally conscious energy policies to reduce carbon emissions is a mutual duty of the international community. Several cities or government regions have implemented strategies and means to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. New efforts focus on introducing green policies, which reduce the largest contributors of the carbon footprint in ...

Measuring Embodied Blue Water in American Diets: An EIO Supply Chain Approach

Ecological Economics, 2018
Abstract Food systems worldwide rely on water resources that are facing demand from a growing population while regional water supplies are increasingly uncertain due to climate change. In this environment, dietary changes may have the potential to reduce water used in food production.
