Fast Charge–Discharge of LiNi0.9Co0.05Mn0.05 Enabled by a Bikitaite‐Infused Separator for Li Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A bikitaite‐infused cellulose separator is introduced for Li metal batteries, leveraging bikitaite zeolite's ion‐conductive properties to regulate Li+‐ion flux and suppress dendrite growth. The membrane design ensures uniform Li plating, enhanced electrolyte wettability, and robust thermal/mechanical stability, delivering stable performance and low ...

Polymer Interface Enables Reversible Quasi‐Solid Sulfur Conversion in Sodium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The polymer interface enables a stable quasi‐solid sulfur conversion pathway in room‐temperature Na─S batteries. The coating regulates Na+ transport, stabilizes the cathode–electrolyte interphase, and accommodates mechanical stress, suppressing electrolyte decomposition and sulfur migration, thereby improving reaction uniformity, reducing polarization,

Nanocrystalline iron oxide and sulfide by the thermal decomposition of cyclohexylammonium hexaisothiocyanatoferrate(III) 2.5H2O

open access: yesScientific Reports
We reported for the first time the establishment of a simple, room-temperature synthesis protocol for the new organic-inorganic hybrid salt of cyclohexylammonium hexaisothiocyanatoferrate(III) 2.5H2O, which was found a convenient single-source precursor ...

Dipole‐Engineered Conductive Additives for Ultrastable Interphase Evolution in High‐Areal‐Capacity Silicon Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In the work reported herein, dipole‐engineered sulfonated carbon nanofibers enable conductive additives to actively regulate interphase formation in silicon anodes. Polar sulfonyl groups guide electrolyte decomposition to form a compact LiF‐rich interphase while promoting robust integration with silicon.

Synthesized polyaspartic acid derivatives as corrosion and scale inhibitors in desalination operations

open access: yesCogent Engineering, 2017
The present work investigated the preparation of valine of polyaspartic acid (Val-PASP) and leucine of poly aspartic acid (Leu-PASP) by using polysuccinimide. PASP compounds were used as corrosion and scale inhibitors.

Penentuan Resistivitas Tak-Terkompensasi Cairan Ion Berbasis Imidazol dengan Metode EIS: Pengaruh Panjang Alkil dan Perbedaan Anion

open access: yesJurnal Riset Kimia, 2020
Ionic liquids have interesting properties because they have several advantages compared to conventional organic solvents, such as high thermal stability, high viscosity, good solvent properties, non-flammable, and non-volatile. In electrochemistry, ionic

Graded‐Interface Dual‐Environment Hydrogel‐Polymer Electrolyte for Stabilized Anode and Sustained Cathode Kinetics in Aqueous Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A graded‐interface hydrogel‐polymer electrolyte decouples water activity to simultaneously stabilize the Zn anode and sustain cathode kinetics. The flexible design supports dendrite‐free cycling over 1600 h, high capacity in both MnO2 and V2O5 full cells, and stable pouch‐cell performance under bending, resolving the fundamental water conflict in ...

A curious case: caddisfly cases built from brick and sewage overflow microplastics

open access: yesJournal of Limnology
Caddisflies larvae have been constructing cases made from vegetation or sediment grains for millions of years, but in the Anthropocene many alternative building materials have become available for caddisfly larvae.
