Impact of Healthy Diet Shifts on Soil Greenhouse Gas Emissions Across Europe. [PDF]

open access: yesGlob Chang Biol
We examined how adopting the EAT‐Lancet reference diet will impact the soil greenhouse gas balance across Europe. We found that the impact varies across the continent, with the livestock intensive regions showing the largest decline in livestock numbers, and manure reduction. This led to high soil organic carbon losses.

Tackle Height and Tackle Success-An Analysis of 52,204 Tackle Events. [PDF]

open access: yesEur J Sport Sci
ABSTRACT To compare the probability of tackle success (the tackler preventing the ball‐carrier and ball from progressing towards the tackler try‐line) when contacting the ball‐carrier at different heights (shoulder, mid‐torso and legs) for different types of tackles (active, passive, smother and arm) while accounting for other tackler situational ...

Prevalence of sleep disruption and determinants of sleepiness in a cohort of Italian hospital physicians: The PRESOMO study. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Sleep Res, 2022
Abstract Nightshift work can cause daytime somnolence and decreased alertness, and can increase risk of medical errors, occupational injuries and car accidents. We used a structured questionnaire, including the Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS), to assess the prevalence and the determinants of sleep disruption in 268 Italian University hospital physicians
