The Brezis–Ekeland Principle for Doubly Nonlinear Equations
SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 2008The celebrated Brezis-Ekeland principle [C. R. Acad. Sci. Paris Ser. A-B, 282 (1976), pp. Ai, A1197-A1198, Aii, and A971-A974] characterizes trajectories of nonautonomous gradient flows of convex functionals as solutions to suitable minimization problems.

Ekeland's variational principle in locally complete spaces
Mathematische Nachrichten, 2003AbstractWe extend Ekeland's variational principle to locally complete locally convex spaces. As an application of the extension, we obtain a drop theorem in locally convex spaces which improves the related known result.

Ekeland-Type Variational Principles and Equilibrium Problems
2011In this survey chapter we present different forms of Ekeland’s variational principle involving τ-functions, τ-functions and fitting functions, and Q-functions, respectively. The equilibrium version of Ekeland-type variational principle is also presented.

Vectorial Ekeland Variational Principles: A Hybrid Approach
2015This paper proposes a hybrid approach in establishing vectorial versions of Ekeland’s variational principle. It bases on both the nonlinear scalarization functional in Tammer (Gerth) and Weidner’s nonconvex separation theorem [14] from a scalarization approach and Bao and Mordukhovich’s iterative scheme in [5] from a variational approach.

On the Ekeland variational principle
2011For proper lower semicontinuous functionals bounded from below which do not increase upon polarization, an improved version of Ekeland’s variational principle can be formulated in Banach spaces, which provides almost symmetric ...
