Equilibria of time‐inconsistent stopping for one‐dimensional diffusion processes

open access: yesMathematical Finance, Volume 33, Issue 3, Page 797-841, July 2023., 2023
Abstract We consider three equilibrium concepts proposed in the literature for time‐inconsistent stopping problems, including mild equilibria (introduced in Huang and Nguyen‐Huu (2018)), weak equilibria (introduced in Christensen and Lindensjö (2018)), and strong equilibria (introduced in Bayraktar et al. (2021)). The discount function is assumed to be

Equilibrium investment with random risk aversion

open access: yesMathematical Finance, Volume 33, Issue 3, Page 946-975, July 2023., 2023
Abstract We solve the problem of an investor who maximizes utility but faces random preferences. We propose a problem formulation based on expected certainty equivalents. We tackle the time‐consistency issues arising from that formulation by applying the equilibrium theory approach.

PROTOCOL: Participation in organised sport to improve and prevent adverse developmental trajectories of at‐risk youth: A systematic review

open access: yesCampbell Systematic Reviews, Volume 19, Issue 2, June 2023., 2023
Abstract This is the protocol for a Campbell systematic review. The main objective of this review is to answer the research question: What are the effects of organised sport on risk behaviour, personal, emotional and social skills of young people, who either have experienced or is at‐risk of experiencing an adverse outcome?

Bundling and nonlinear pricing in telecommunications

open access: yesThe RAND Journal of Economics, Volume 54, Issue 2, Page 268-298, Summer 2023., 2023
Abstract I develop a multiproduct nonlinear pricing model where a firm sells both discrete and continuous services to consumers with multidimensional heterogeneity. I derive the optimal selling mechanism and provide primitive conditions under which different bundling strategies arise. Exploiting both the firm and the consumer's optimality conditions, I

On Nonlocal Elliptic Problems of the Kirchhoff Type Involving the Hardy Potential and Critical Nonlinearity

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, Volume 2023, Issue 1, 2023., 2023
In this article, we deal with the nonlocal elliptic problems of the Kirchhoff type involving the Hardy potential and critical nonlinearity on a bounded domain in R3. Under an appropriate condition on the nonhomogeneous term and using variational methods, we obtain two distinct solutions.

Critical Fractional p‐Laplacian System with Negative Exponents

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, Volume 2023, Issue 1, 2023., 2023
In this paper, we consider a class of fractional p‐Laplacian problems with critical and negative exponents. By decomposition of the Nehari manifold, the existence and multiplicity of nontrivial solutions for the above problems are established with respect to a sufficiently small parameter.

Shame On You! Unpacking the Individual and Organizational Implications of Engaging with a Stigmatized Organization

open access: yesJournal of Management Studies, Volume 59, Issue 8, Page 2024-2066, December 2022., 2022
Abstract How and when does engagement with a stigmatized organization lead to the transfer of its stigma to organizations and individuals associating with it? To answer this question, we conduct an inductive study of the process of stigma transfer and the conditions determining social actors’ susceptibility to such courtesy stigma. We build our process

On the demand for telemedicine: Evidence from the COVID‐19 pandemic

open access: yesHealth Economics, Volume 31, Issue 7, Page 1491-1505, July 2022., 2022
Abstract Telemedicine can expand access to health care at relatively low cost. Historically, however, demand for telemedicine has remained low. Using administrative records and a difference‐in‐differences methodology, we estimate the change in demand for telemedicine experienced after the onset of the COVID‐19 epidemic and the imposition of mobility ...

Multiple Positive Solutions and Estimates of Extremal Values for a Nonlocal Problem with Critical Sobolev Exponent and Concave‐Convex Nonlinearities

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
We are concerned with the following nonlocal problem involving critical Sobolev exponent −a−b∫Ω∇u2dxΔu=λuq−2u+δu2u,x∈Ω,u=0,x∈∂Ω, where Ω is a smooth bounded domain in ℝ4, a, b > 0, 1 < q < 2, δ, and λ are positive parameters. We prove the existence of two positive solutions and obtain uniform estimates of extremal values for the problem.

On Nonsmooth Global Implicit Function Theorems for Locally Lipschitz Functions from Banach Spaces to Euclidean Spaces

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
In this paper, we establish a generalization of the Galewski‐Rădulescu nonsmooth global implicit function theorem to locally Lipschitz functions defined from infinite dimensional Banach spaces into Euclidean spaces. Moreover, we derive, under suitable conditions, a series of results on the existence, uniqueness, and possible continuity of global ...
