Identification of random coefficient latent utility models

open access: yesQuantitative Economics, Volume 16, Issue 4, Page 1223-1265, November 2025.
This paper provides nonparametric identification results for random coefficient distributions in perturbed utility models. We cover discrete choice and models of multiple purchases. We establish identification using variation in mean quantities. The results apply even when an analyst observes only aggregate demands but not whether goods are chosen ...

A nonhomogeneous Schrödinger equation involving nonlinearity with exponential critical growth and potential which can vanish at infinity

open access: yesResults in Applied Mathematics, 2023
The main purpose of this work is to study the existence of solutions for the following class of nonhomogeneous Schrödinger equations −Δu+V(x)u=f(u)+h(x),x∈R2,where V is a continuous potential which can vanish at infinity, the nonlinearity f possesses ...

Vectorial form of Ekeland-type variational principle [PDF]

open access: yesFixed Point Theory and Applications, 2012
En este artículo, nos ocupamos de una forma vectorial del principio variacional de tipo Ekeland para un bioperador multivaluado cuyo dominio es un espacio métrico completo y su rango es un subconjunto de un espacio topológico de Hausdorff localmente convexo.

Professional perspectives on characteristics of legitimacy in court‐based mediation

open access: yesFamily Court Review, Volume 63, Issue 1, Page 138-154, January 2025.
Abstract In Norway, court‐based mediation involves judges, lawyers, and psychologists working as a mediation team to bring settlement and avoid litigation. This article reports from a qualitative study with twenty‐two judges, psychologists, and lawyers from four district courts.

Variational calculation of the period of nonlinear oscillators

open access: yes, 2004
The problem of calculating the period of second order nonlinear autonomous oscillators is formulated as an eigenvalue problem. We show that the period can be obtained from two integral variational principles dual to each other.

Time‐inconsistent contract theory

open access: yesMathematical Finance, Volume 34, Issue 3, Page 1022-1085, July 2024.
Abstract This paper investigates the moral hazard problem in finite horizon with both continuous and lump‐sum payments, involving a time‐inconsistent sophisticated agent and a standard utility maximizer principal: Building upon the so‐called dynamic programming approach in Cvitanić et al.

Critical Point Theorems and Ekeland Type Variational Principle with Applications

open access: yesFixed Point Theory and Applications, 2011
We introduce the notion of -spaces which is much weaker than cone metric spaces defined by Huang and X. Zhang (2007). We establish some critical point theorems in the setting of -spaces and, in particular, in the setting of complete cone metric spaces.

Participation in organised sport to improve and prevent adverse developmental trajectories of at‐risk youth: A systematic review

open access: yesCampbell Systematic Reviews, Volume 20, Issue 1, March 2024.
Abstract Background Healthy after‐school activities such as participation in organised sport have been shown to serve as important resources for reducing school failure and other problem/high‐risk behaviour. It remains to be established to what extent organised sport participation has positive impacts on young people in unstable life circumstances ...

Non‐autonomous double phase eigenvalue problems with indefinite weight and lack of compactness

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 56, Issue 2, Page 734-755, February 2024.
Abstract In this paper, we consider eigenvalues to the following double phase problem with unbalanced growth and indefinite weight, −Δpau−Δqu=λm(x)|u|q−2uinRN,$$\begin{equation*} \hspace*{3pc}-\Delta _p^a u-\Delta _q u =\lambda m(x)|u|^{q-2}u \quad \mbox{in} \,\, \mathbb {R}^N, \end{equation*}$$where N⩾2$N \geqslant 2$, 1
