Neuropathy With Demyelinating Features in a Patient With Biallelic HARS1 Variants

open access: yesJournal of the Peripheral Nervous System, Volume 31, Issue 3, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims The HARS1 gene encodes cytoplasmic histidyl‐tRNA synthetase, which catalyzes the ligation of histidine to tRNAHIS in the cytoplasm as an early step in protein biosynthesis and is essential for cell viability. Pathogenic variants in HARS1 have been associated with three phenotypes: autosomal dominant Charcot–Marie–Tooth (CMT)

Leadership and the Virtue of Humanity: Conceptual Clarity, Systematic Review, and Future Research Agenda

open access: yesJournal of Management Studies, Volume 63, Issue 6, Page 3780-3814, September 2026.
Abstract Humanity – the virtue enabling meaningful human connection – is vital to the leadership we need to survive our polycrisis context. As a prerequisite to sustainable human community, the virtue of humanity is considered universal. It has been claimed as a ‘higher‐order virtue’, comprised of and enacted by – but irreducible to – a suite of ‘lower‐

Engineering Nanoplatforms for Alzheimer's Disease Detection via Biomolecular Corona Proteomic and Lipidomic Profiling

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 15, Issue 31, 21 August 2026.
Engineered nanoparticles capture disease‐specific biomolecular coronas that uncover hidden molecular features of Alzheimer's disease. Combined proteomic and lipidomic analyses reveal a characteristic shift in ribosomal machinery and energy metabolism, generating a multiomic fingerprint that supports accurate disease detection and opens new ...

Energy Band Alignment and Electro‐Optical Behavior of Nearly Unstrained Monolayer MoS2 Heterostructures With GaN

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 16, 18 August 2026.
Large size (∼100 µm) monolayer MoS2 grown by LPI‐CVD on n‐GaN exhibit a high n‐type doping, very low strain, and a type‐I band alignment at MoS2/GaN interface. Photocurrent measurements under illumination with photon energies from ∼2 to ∼5 eV show superior electro‐optical performances of these MoS2/n‐GaN heterojunctions as compared to Ni/n‐GaN devices ...

MANGO‐“Fruitcage”: A Conditional Photocage Utilizing a Fluorescence Light‐Up Aptamer

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 14, Issue 29, 7 August 2026.
Fruitcaging ‐ a proof of concept study of a conditional photocage (Thiazol‐Orange) activated upon binding to the fluorescence light up aptamer (Mango). The prolongation of the excited state lifetime explains the redirection of the reactive pathway toward photocleavage and provides a sensitive spectroscopic readout.
