Q Fever in Africa: A Systematic Review of Prevalence, Zoonotic Potential and Disease Burden

Q fever is widespread across Africa, with livestock as the primary source of human infections. Although some prevalence data exist, its economic burden is still lacking. The findings underscore the need for a One Health approach that integrates surveillance, economic assessment and control to reduce the disease burden.
