Effect of elastane draft on the rheological modelling of elastane core spun yarn

Journal of the Textile Institute, 2012
The main purpose of modelling the yarn structure is to find relations that are more reliable giving the behaviour of the yarn starting from its components. In this paper, the identification of the mechanical behaviour of the elastic core spun yarns by a rheological modelling on the basis of pre-existent phenomenological models is presented.

Optimization of polyester–elastane-braided ligaments performances

Journal of Industrial Textiles, 2015
A successful prosthesis has to emulate physiological and biomechanical performances of the native ligament. Today, there is no ideal artificial ligament that simulates the performances of the human anterior cruciate ligament. This work aims to study the impact of the braiding parameters on ligaments mechanical performances.

A study of the impact of elastane ratio on mechanical properties of cotton wrapped elastane-core spun yarns

Journal of the Textile Institute, 2006
Abstract Composite yarns with elastane have become more and more used to take advantage of the filament properties. Indeed, the elastane filament improves the yarn's elasticity. However, the elastane ratio is an important factor influencing the yarn's strength.

Aus Elastan wird Lycra

CIRCULAR ECONOMY
In modernen Kleidungsstücken ist oft ein Anteil Elastan enthalten. Das stört das Faser-zu-Faser-Recycling. The Lycra Company hat Wege gefunden, Elastan zurückzugewinnen.

WEFT ELASTANE WEAVING AND FABRIC CHARACTERISTICS

2010
In this study, the effect of weft density, weft number and weave type on physical and mechanical properties of fabric have been investigated. For this purpose, the fabrics were woven in seven different pattern constructions with four different weft densities using two different weft in count.
