This work applies High‐Speed Nanoindentation to study multi‐material transitions in powder bed fusion–electron beam melting components. The aim is to assess the mechanical gradients and interfacial behavior between American iron and steel institute 316L stainless steel and V4E tool steel in additively manufactured structures.

Group and Phase Velocity of Love Waves Propagating in Elastic Functionally Graded Materials
This paper presents a theoretical study of the propagation behaviour of surface Love waves in nonhomogeneous functionally graded elastic materials, which is a vital problem in acoustics.

By combining porous, solid, and carbon fiber‐reinforced thermoplastic polyurethane within a single 3D printed honeycomb structure, this current work achieved precise control over spatial stiffness while ensuring strong interlayer adhesion. The findings demonstrate enhanced energy absorption and densification strain, outperforming traditional uniform ...

Backlund transformations and knots of constant torsion
The Backlund transformation for pseudospherical surfaces, which is equivalent to that of the sine-Gordon equation, can be restricted to give a transformation on space curves that preserves constant torsion.

A Novel Simplified Approach to Physically Simulate Wire‐Arc Directed Energy Deposition Conditions
Scarcity of specialized titanium alloy wires and high experimental wire production costs impedes wire‐arc directed energy deposition (waDED) adoption in industry. A novel, wireless approach is introduced to accelerate and economize titanium alloy development.

Existence, regularity and structure of confined elasticae
We consider the problem of minimizing the bending or elastic energy among Jordan curves confined in a given open set $\Omega$. We prove existence, regularity and some structural properties of minimizers.

High frequency homogenisation for elastic lattices [PDF]
A complete methodology, based on a two-scale asymptotic approach, that enables the homogenisation of elastic lattices at non-zero frequencies is developed. Elastic lattices are distinguished from scalar lattices in that two or more types of coupled waves

Elastic Curves and Euler–Bernoulli Constrained Beams from the Perspective of Geometric Algebra
Elasticity is a well-established field within mathematical physics, yet new formulations can provide deeper insight and computational advantages. This study explores the geometry of two- and three-dimensional elastic curves using the formalism of ...
