Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Mechanical characterization of solution-derived nanoparticle silver ink thin films [PDF]
Mechanical properties of sintered silver nanoparticles are investigated via substrate curvature and nanoindentation methods. Substrate curvature measurements reveal that permanent microstructural changes occur during initial heating while subsequent ...

Objective Ultrasound (US) has been proposed as a potential tool for assessing skin fibrosis in systemic sclerosis (SSc). However, a large‐scale comparison of US‐based assessment with histologic markers of skin fibrosis has not been reported. We evaluated US‐based skin assessments for their face validity (differentiation between involved SSc and healthy

The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Exploring the Nonlinear Viscoelasticity of a High Viscosity Silicone Oil with Laos
Measurements and modeling of the nonlinear viscoelastic properties of a high viscosity silicone oil (polydimethylsiloxane, PDMS) are reported. LAOS test were performed with a high precision rotational rheometer to probe the nonlinear response.

Quadramode materials: Their design method and wave property
Extremal materials with certain vanishing eigenvalues of their elastic matrix are able to manipulate elastic wave with their extremal static property, the devices designed with such materials can work in a broad frequency band, which is highly demanded ...

Bistable Mechanisms 3D Printing for Mechanically Programmable Vibration Control
This work introduces a 3D‐printed bistable mechanism integrated into tuned mass dampers (TMDs) for mechanically adaptive passive vibration suppression. Through optimized geometry, the bistable design provides adaptable vibration reduction across a broad range of scenarios, achieving effective vibration mitigation without complex controls or external ...
