A lack of standard approaches for testing and reporting the performance of metal halide perovskites and organic semiconductor radiation detectors has resulted in inconsistent interpretation of performance parameters, impeding progress in the field. This Perspective recommends key metrics and experimental details, which are suggested for reporting in ...

EXPERIMENTAL TEST OF THE MODEL OF A NONLOCAL ELASTIC FOUNDATION
The design of bars, lying on an elastic base is fulfilled usually with help of a simple model of the base proposed by Winkler. This hypothesis was subjected to repeated critics. A new model of nonlocal elastic foundation was proposed by PotapovV.D .

Dynamic Analysis Of Straight And Curved Beams On Elastic Foundation [PDF]
Free and forced vibration analysis of straight and curved beams on elastic foundation are investigated in Laplace domain. The Timoshenko beam theory is adopted in the derivation of the governing equation.

This study uncovers a new switching mechanism in HfO2 and ZrO2, where the absence of a non‐polar layer along the a‐direction induces interaction between polar layers. Consequently, the switching barriers for growth are lower than those for nucleation in this direction, leading to a size‐dependent coercive field that matches experimental observations ...

Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Coating the standard polypropylene separator with a porous red phosphorous nanosheet greatly improves cycling performance in Li electrode cells. The phosphorus‐based surface chemistry deactivates electrolyte solvent decomposition and enhances the cleavage of F‐containing salt, resulting in an inorganic‐dominated electrolyte interphase (SEI) composition

Elastic Network Models: Theoretical and Empirical Foundations [PDF]
Fifteen years ago Monique Tirion showed that the low-frequency normal modes of a protein are not significantly altered when non-bonded interactions are replaced by Hookean springs, for all atom pairs whose distance is smaller than a given cutoff value. Since then, it has been shown that coarse-grained versions of Tirion's model are able to provide fair
